I have a ’57 Chrysler, The joke at 5:22 is actually kind of funny.
First time I ever went to pull a wheel off,I had my breaker bar and socket
on the lug,I raised a knee to drop it down and FLASH! A memory of a similar
comment burst into my thoughts… I was dropping my knee and ended up doing
a thing were I looking like a trained horse counting to 1.
There is a letter L on the lug studs, they are left handed thread …only
on one side :D

I understand why you assembled on the ground as far as clarity goes, but
you better have the right equipment or at least two people per column to
help you stand it up. Always read your manual people…ding dong!

After installing over 500 of these since they came on the market in the
later 1980’s I still suggest you follow the Manufacturers instruction
books. I haven’t seen one book that says you should assemble it on the
ground and lift the entire lift up (both colums) all at one time friends.
This is not a safer way to do it.

I felt the man love at 14:30.
My company sells auto shop equipment and we install these lift kits all the
time. You don’t assemble the entire lift on the ground. You install one
column, anchor it and then stand the second column up, attach the overhead
crossbeam to both columns and then anchor the second collumn. Before
tighting the anchor bolts you level both columns with shims so they are the
same heignt and the overhead beam is level. Hook up the cables and hose &
bleed it out. Instruction books even do it separately.
Personal preference. It’s much safer and time-efficient to work at ground
level, especially when working with a lift this tall. Lifting isn’t that
bad, as you’ll see in the next episode, plus it makes getting the layout
geometry MUCH easier. I’ve installed these things before and the ‘up over
the top, back and forth, drop a nut here and a clip there’ is a pain. As
far as leveling goes, it’s really no different. Keep the anchor nuts on the
anchors and wedge the shims in ’til level. -Ben Wojdyla

Yeah printers aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, plus they even have 3D

much. I am not sure where he lives, but when he say that you can get in ”
Any town ” can fix a hydraulic fitting done, he is wrong and in my class he
lst all credibility. Not everyone lives in a major metropolitan area. Sorry
for the bad comments, bt it was the feedback given to me when I showed it.
WOW… that is one bloody ANTIQUE torque wrench.. they stop making those in
like .. 35 years??…
Is there a reason you installed everything laying down? it makes it alot
harder to stand it up and level the colums when you have the overhead beam
on. plus it very awkward to work on laying down…
