Scott Harvey says:

This is not pots and pans. You don’t need hot water to loosen the dirt,
that’s what the cleaner is for. Leave the engine off. You are damaging
the car.

kiddgroovy says:

What’s a distributor cap and does a 2003 Saturn Ion have one?

Da Coder says:

You call THAT dirty? You should see my greasy old Neon’s engine… and
thanks for the video!

MrBullya says:

how tall are you? you have no trouble seeing that engine… I have to climb
in the truck to see it all

Bawssish says:

wouldnt it end up getting wet any other way? for example on heavy rain or
something?

Saabkyle04 says:

It’s not like no water ever splashes in the engine lol, u drive it
afterwards and don’t let it set or cover it up, use ur own judgement

Saabkyle04 says:

@JigSkipper That’s awesome to hear, glad it worked out for ya!

zzZmauriciozepedaZzz says:

@saabkyle04 your funy lol 🙂

kuba mikulski says:

you can get it off by unplugging the battery of + and – wait 5 min and plug
it back in than drive around 20 miles and if it pops back up then something
is really wrong with your car and you should consider taking it to a
mechanic.

wheely132 says:

@calucho19 every car and truck has an intake, without one it wont run

Ryan Richards says:

I am sorry but I need to say something about General Motors, I am not
bashing them, or the quality of the vehicles, but when you spend $85,000 on
an Escalade, the freaking power steering pump and alt. SHOULD not whine
like that(exact same as on a Tahoe) and REALLY GM? The cover you put on the
top of that 403 Horsepower engine is the same as a $19,000 Silverado? All
it says is Vortec. It doesn’t even say cadillac. That is ridiculous.

aquateen77723 says:

Sorry about your engine’s electrical system, Pa. :[

vince caporizzo says:

I always got some aluminum foil and wrapped the alt with it,trying to keep
as much water out of it as possible.

Saabkyle04 says:

no it’s regular gas

Bischlarbo69 says:

Yeah this guys not too smart. Let’s just hose the engine with cold water
while letting it run to keep it warm right? Cause cracking the block is
always fun. Noob -_-

Boodieman72 says:

I prefer to use steam

LostFart says:

The planet isnt going to die, we are. The planet will ‘live’ for century’s
apon centurys!

Jesus Gonzalez Jr. says:

will the cleaner stuff harm the belts, pulleys, and the battery itself?

stunna81 says:

Ha ha nice work. I have almost the same set up under the hood of my 2004
Yukon Denali. Since the truck is mine i rather disassemble, clean each
parts individually, & reassemble the parts back in it’s mounting location.

sideburns2009 says:

@BOLTONxVALLEYxRIDER Revving (especially if you have a belt driven fan)
will shake off (blow off) some of the excess dripping water. Turning it off
and back on isn’t necessary but ensures that nothing critical got too wet
and will cause it not to start.

Saabkyle04 says:

I assume you mean the type of engine, I’m not too familiar with the
classifications of them like that haha, but you’re right, this was just an
example!

digitalrailroader says:

All the GMT900 Engines look like that. from the 4.3L V6, all the way up to
the 8.1L V8.

Saabkyle04 says:

yeah pretty much, I cleaned a challenger the same way

abdullah ahmed says:

you just killed that car

bubshait87 says:

my god .. is it okey to use water like thaaat?

jland904 says:

its better to spray and wipe what you can dont hose your engine off and if
you do in light amounts as possible

MetalSonicUltraLord says:

at this self car wash i go to, there is a knob that says engine cleaner. is
it ok to use that instead of degreaser or is it even safe to use?

reyesorozco says:

@TheMrBrandonlewis well, the engine gains energy as it runs, say heat,
which helps evaporate the excess water in difficult spots to reach? 😀

GrandPrixGTP02 says:

It’s just referred to as “All Purpose Cleaner” by Auto Magic (you can find
some other brands too) but as it says it can clean just about anything or
any substance.

Saabkyle04 says:

Yeah if it had any sort of distributor I would cover it as best as you can,
it is a big no no to get that thing wet haha, you should be pretty good
with that though, I’ve done those engines before and they’re pretty rock
solid! The biggest hurdle is older imports, for some reason they have thin
wires that are really easy to damage :/ also if you don’t have that felt
thing on the hood you can take a brush and wash it instead of a rag, should
be easier 😛

Daniel Swarthout says:

hi kyle how can you get the service engine soon light to go off

jmurray01 says:

yeah, check it out in google images.

amadek8888 says:

like if I didn`t know hou to clean the engine

Saabkyle04 says:

no not a tall, you might just have to re grease the belt

Christian Salvador says:

I will like to know if you have done this to a lumina 1995 because i have
one and need to know the right way to do this and the things that we have
to cover.

Adrian Tinoco says:

hey have you ever cleaned a f150 b4? i wan2 clean mine but im not sure
about it….?

keno alferdo says:

why is the car running when you clean it?

legioner9 says:

@saabkyle04 : My car manual says that it is forbidden to spray water over
the engine and parts… What to do ?
