Hey I have a 2005 cts 3.6 I already drain all of the transmission fluid out
but the check pull on the side is strip so i cant get it off. I just want
to know how transmission fluid to put back in to full it and is there more
fluid in the torque converter?
looks like you need to take your car to your own mechanic , before you
damage the transmission
You could drop the pan and you have to change the filter and the gasket.
This car does not have a dipstick tube, you have to use a pump to fill the
transmission
Why not drop the pan, get a new gasket, and replace the filter? I was
planning to change the transmission fluid on my 2009 Cadi. Although there
is a drain plug I don’t have that pump. Can I add transmission fluid
through the dipstick tunnel? Thank you.

thanks it leaked from the transmison coolant it was messed up. i hope i
dint ruin the transmision.
yes you can fill it up without a pump!! use a long hose and a transmission
funnel those plastic funnels. insert one end of the hose inside the fill
hole then work the hose to the engine comparment area put it high enough so
you get a good flow connect the other end to the trans funnel and pour some
fulid let gravity do the work!!!!you may nedd a helper to hold the hose
inside the transmission fill hole!!!

First fill the transmission with the engine off. Once it’s full, start the
engine and continue filling the transmission until the fluid comes out of
the transmission, and then you are all set. Test drive the car and double
check the fluid with engine running.

I have a 03 cadillac cts 3.2 and the traction control light comes on and a
engine reduce light an wont go more than two miles a hour but when i
disconnect the battery and plug it back in it works fine any idea wat it
could be???
of course if you doit my way the car needs to be on jackstands instead of a
hoist!

well you need to take your car to automotive shop and tell them to do a
flush, not just a drain and fill. And then see what happens after that. If
the transmission slips then you need to rebuilt it. But i would start with
the flush first.

sounds like a torque converter seal leak the bushing could be bad too!!

Hey I have a leak on my transmission somewhere at the bottom where the bell
housing connects to the engine, do you think you can figure out where its
leaking I have a 3.6 l cts 04. I can upload a video if you need to see more
and also find out why and where the transmission is leaking.

hey i have a cts 06 2.8 i came outside and the transmission fluid was all
in da floor and mi transmission fluid got mixed in da water, i fixed the
radiator already but do i just do the flush and put the fluid it or i have
to repair the transmission?
