When you have a vertical mount oil filter like that there really is no
excuse for not filling the filter full of new oil before you mount it.

I do use the synthetic oils, namely Amsoil. It’s just been my preference.
Mobile 1 was behind for sometime but they are meeting the head of the pack
with formulations. Filters… I use the Amsoil Ea0 filters, they are not
inexpensive I know but they are better then the 4 dollar deal… I do allot
of miles in my car in the field service industry, I have to pay attention
to working with better fluids and filters. Personally I have had a better
experience with Amsoil but my first cars ran with Mobil 1 starting with a
1980 Cutlass. In all though, Ford makes a better engine…. 🙂

Good job with all the pointers… Right on the mark… Nice car!
