I just got an 84 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz. It has starting issues…it
takes 5-10 tries to get it started. Once its started it runs fine. I did a
tune up and also changed the fuel filter and the alternator was bad so I
changed that. It still has issues starting. Also service soon light is on
but I can’t check the codes because the AC Control Center and Fuel Data
Center both don’t seem to work. Did you have any issues like that?
oh also you think you could put a dual exhaust on that without geting a new
tank? i havent checked myn well enought to see if its possible because im
not in possesion of it atm but it looks like its pritty snug over there on
the left >.<

@240sxfirebird Did 150 miles in her today to look at Ken’s new parts car,
she gets about 24 mpg on the highway!
@lol123321123321 the 4.1 V8 is a Cadillac motor, they also used a Buick
3.8, and Olds 350’s- both in gas and diesel. Earlier Eldorados with this
body could be had with the 350 gas or diesel, or the 368 V8 (cadillac’s
failed 8-6-4 design, but that could be eliminated). I think the 368 (which
is 6.0 liters) will bolt to my trans axle. If my motor ever goes tits up,
that’s the option for me!
@pearsonba350 ohhhh wait, so this Cadillac is front wheel drive!??!?!?!? a
freind of mine has a 90s caddy sitting in his driveway, one day we popped
the hood and the v8 was sideways, i was like what?!?!? its FWD!!!

soo did Cadillac make a 4.1 v6 and v8??? cause 4.1 seems kinda small for a
v8? heck your jeep is a 4.0 lol, only if it was the 500cu… that be crazy!

@ThePickle85 It’s amazing what a little maintenance can do. Mine runs great
now, still gonna change the plugs and wires, and driving it 80 miles south
today with the fuel cleaner in the tank.
i changed my fuel filter yesterday on my moms car and boy, it was filthy.
the gas was brown as the ground. but now she runs n handles like a
cadillac, no pun intended. lol.
I agree with Foxrider67, since she is running nice I’m waiting for my
ride…..

@lol123321123321 Yeah, she’s a front driver. I like that the motor sits in
there the proper way, though.
@pearsonba350 yea the plugs n wires were changed in august on my moms car.
just gotta get some cleaner to clean the injectors.
@ThePickle85 I put some Lucas addative in the tank when I brought her home,
and last night I added a can of Seafoam when I filler her up. At the very
least, I’ve still got the TBI rebuild kit sitting here, might just do that
this winter anyway.
