200,000 miles on my 2004, bought new and never had touch the transmission.

Dan DanDanDan says:

Same thing with my Cadillac. This thing has 8 million sensors which go
wrong and tell you if the damn heated seats don’t work and how many miles
per gallon etc etc yet it doesn’t tell me when the transmission fluid is
low? I don’t think I’ll ever buy a Cadillac again – These newer ones are a
nightmare.

mihcael mathews says:

What did Cadillac do to fix the issue? I’m having the same issue.

knurlgnar24 says:

Whether there is an obvious leak or not, the fluid level should be checked
as the very first step in diagnosing an transmission problem. Inexcusable.

Cleven Price says:

Alwas check your fluids no mater what the car thats wh at i always go by lol

L2004M says:

I had the exact same problem! i feel you bro it got me pissed too!

Nick Coleman says:

things break, changing the fluid change wouldn’t have prevented it

Tabitha Walters says:

There is no way possible.to.check.the trans fluid because there is no
dipstick to check it with!! And they just want you to take it to the
dealership to spend a bunch of money so.don’t.take it there…just change
it yourself!!!

knurlgnar24 says:

Oh, and as this is a pretty much a double video post, as I mentioned in the
other vid 67% is the calculated fluid life and has nothing to do with fluid
level. The car is doing what it is designed to do and working properly.
Aside from the low fluid level issue and resulting damage of course…

Tabitha Walters says:

This happened with my 2004 Cadillac CTS about 3years ago…I took it to my
uncle and he changed the trans fluid and it has been fine ever since

Keith Jen says:

I’m still gonna sell it or trade it eventually , I will never buy another
Cadillac or GM vehicle !!!

Jairo Feria says:

Man this past February my tyranny started slipping did you end up fixing
yours?

Keith Jen says:

Yeah, I got it fixed eventually, the dealer wanted $4500, fuck that I went
to this good repair shop , got it done for.$1600, & it’s still running good

Keith Jen says:

And the owners manual stated a indicator warning message should display
when the trans fluid needs to be changed , the vehicle never displayed this
message

Keith Jen says:

Your right the fluid level should be checked, bus the service advisors
never checked the fluid levels, even after the vehicle was brought in for
service multiple times

Keith Jen says:

There also should’ve been a way for customers to check the trans fluid
levels, especially since the Cadillac service advisors never checked it,
even after numerous service/repair issues prior to the transmission failing
