2010 (2007-2014) Cadillac Escalade Amplifier Wiring Install using Scosche LOC2SL Line Out Converter.

2010 (2007-2014) Cadillac Escalade Amplifier Wiring Install using Scosche LOC2SL Line Out Converter.

Connecting an aftermarket Pioneer amplifier to a factory head unit (Navigation) in a 2007-2014 Cadillac Escalade. Dash Removal, and short guide on making connections to the BOSE factory amplifier sub outputs, WITHOUT removing the factory sub! Adding a Schosche LOC2SL with separate sub level control! This is meant as a guide to assist in making connections, there are alternate methods of installing, however this method worked best for me. I was in installer in my younger years, professionally at several car stereo shops, and held an MECP certification. Hope this helps with tackling this install job! Happy to answer any questions that come up.

Do you need the bass controller

caseyclick85 says:

This works terribly. The volume limiting to the factory sub causes excessive bass at low volume and no increase as the volume passes half way.

Hey matt! Would it make a difference to install the loc in the back diretly to the rear speakers and ground off the trunk? Trying to avoid running any wires through my 15' cya. The battery is located in the trunk as well so I'm hoping for a quick easy install.. any thought on how this might affect the sound quality?

Hello my brother, great video! Thank you for the idea but I have a question, when I went to order this on Amazon I ran into an Alpine amp that says it does not require an LOC, apparently its built in and doesn't even require a remote cause it claims to detect when you turn on or off the radio (Alpine MRV-M250 Mono V-Power Digital Amplifier). Does anyone have any experience with a product like this? Does it really work as advertised? And most importantly would it work in my Caddy with a factory head to power a subwoofer?

nice job.. would you happen to know where is the amp on the 2014 CTS?

dwayne Moliga says:

I did this, but no sound is going thru my sub, the 4 pin plug i tapped in to turns my amp on and off, i have a constant 12v plugged in to the back of the radio, idk what else to do to get sound to my subs, amp has power from the battery and the ground on the amp is good, what can i do to fix this please

Hello sir. Your install is clean. I'm trying to install an amp in my 13 Esky Platinum. I can not absolutely find a ground. My seat bolt makes the security go off and make the truck shut off. Same for my seatbelt bolt. I even tried my own ground by drilling and mounting to the body. All these scenarios yeild the same results. Any suggestions? I'm all tapped out. I hope you still answer to post (video 3yrs old). Thanks!

I have not sound in my Cadillac escalade 2008 ,do you know what can be?.

nikki mitchem says:

Will this also work with the 2007 Escalade without a navigation radio? I want to put subwoofer’s in, but I’m worried it won’t work without switching the head unit.

Ajayski 0101 says:

What would happened to the factory amplifier? Is it working in conjunction with the Pioneers?
