9-15-23 It does work as he describes, not the easiest but it does work. Took me close to 4 hours though, but I am slow. Probably could do in 2-3 if I had to do again. A good mechanic could probably do in an hour or so, really good mechanic. Done on my 2003 Deville, 150k miles, keeping my fingers crossed the Northstar keeps going!
I’ve watched other videos that show way more components removed. Your video gives me great hopes at taking on this dreaded task. I thank you sir! I wish this was a full replacement video but nonetheless it is helpful!
I gotta do this on my 05 ASAP, so knowing this, im much much happier
Honestly this is the easiest way. Its not worth trying to menuver it just right to slide it out the bottom. This Worked perfectly. NO BS
Only question is did you remove it from bottom or top
