tooldrums1000 says:

did the ball-joints on my 93 lesabre. when i blew the trans the
transmission shop “forgot” to put a castle nut atop the ball joint. There
was a bad clunking noise coming from the front end and i did the outer tie
rod ends. i had alot of fun doing all that.

TheJeepguycj5 says:

i just got a 97 from a preacher near me sat up for 3 years fresh battery
fired straight up no rust 177,000 miles paid 1500 buck for it but just had
to replace the water pump and tensioner assembly its a great car i havent
taken it on any long distance trips yet kinda unsure and i got to install
some gauges in this car here no oil pressure, temp or voltage gauge just
idiot lights but its a good car if i can get in in good enough health to
road trip it i can finaly retire my worn old dodge

kirkmerehooper says:

evert figure out the name of the intake?

v8nman says:

Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer and an oil change with some 10-40 or 20-50
might help. Helped my old minivan with 163K, was knocking quite a bit
before with 10-40. A little Lucas and 20-50, and it is much quieter now.

rextinctione says:

very nice intake! I would love to get one for my topaz but its more work
than normal and more extra things needed! so I will have to wait on doing
that! love the carbon fiber, I dont know why but always has that cool look!

Andrew Hyland says:

@vanillawava ummmmmm to be honest: it was an Ebay find so…. could be a
chinese knock off… who knows.

Andrew Hyland says:

more to the point i no longer own the vehicle… Shes tired haha it had 202
in it when i sold her… and shes still driving around yet. I see her from
time to time

Andrew Hyland says:

@xScoobyDoo82x um the video dont do it justice it was loud. I could hear
the lifter strike the head. it wasnt good. enine seems to waver at highway
speeds now. will have to make some more observations I guess…….

Ching Chong Ching Super Cold Intake

Andrew Hyland says:

@chevy0500 HEY thanks for the info! I was hoping a motorhead like yourself
would comment and straighten me out. the noise didnt seem to bother my
Mechanic. but he never bothered to explain that much to me. I like this
Buick. I am thinking about a newer park ave or even better a bonneville. I
will have to see. being they last so long, they darn near have a Toyota
price. I cant touch a bonneville with less than a 100k for under 5. thats
like finding a needle in a hay stack. but as for miles

Andrew Hyland says:

yea,,,, UNTIL your oil pump breaks and or seals bust or something else
catastrophic happens due to the oils not following manufacturer specs! bad
Idea!

Tim Calhoun says:

Nice man I am putting one on mine now!

Richard John says:

i got a 96 one like this but in green. i want a cai in mine too.

chevy0500 says:

Your Buick seems like it’s in good shape. There is a product you should buy
to take care of that rust, POR-15. Turns rust to a rust proof primer. Buy
it online! Those LeSabres had excellent reliability and build quality.
Struts were meant to give a floaty ride on those cars, hence they went soft
quick. You probably could do those yourself. Your Topaz was noted for
SEVERE tie rod, strut, AC, water pump, heatercore, radiator and motor mount
issues. The LeSabre is a very different car.

vanillawava says:

Who made that intake

HwkyPlrs says:

I have a 00 impala ls 3800 series 2 with 198k miles and she still has balls
to go! Added one of those 30 dollar intakrs but i have the actual air
intake.

Andrew Hyland says:

@chevy0500 yea. I could. but unfortunately the underside of this car is
getting to be pretty bad. I am watching bah53’s stress points pretty close.
he says that the front and rear suspension tends to rust out, rendering the
car undrivable and suited best for parts or the scrap heap. I will again
have to see. the front fenders have that shimmy so i dont fix those before
winter i will loose the fenders. feel free to keep suggesting things though
input greatly appreciated!

Justyn Hand says:

I’m lookin at doin that to my limited lesabre mine is super charged

chevy0500 says:

That sounds like piston slap. You have roller lifters that rarely wear out.
Lifters go tick tick. My mom has a 2002 Pontiac grand am. It has had that
issue for some time (since about 10 thousand miles. We’re now at 85K miles.
It never got worse! The 3800 engine you have is bullet proof!! You can get
half a million miles out of those. Your pistons are made of aluminum, and
when you start it cold, the aluminum has contracted. After your Buick has
warmed up, I bet the noise goes away.

james lair says:

Hey dude, how do i get one?

Andrew Hyland says:

no…. tis a chinese knock off… sorry cant help you
