My check engine light is on also on my 11 enclave ( gas gauge dont work ) was told fuel pump
I have a 2011 Buick Enclave bought it w/ 93,000 miles now has 116,000 replaced both fr axles , passenger engine mount bracket , it was wrecked reconstructed title , just replaced front brake pads & water pump last summer ,regular maintenance. Overall been an excellent suv just still can't believe the shops & dealer want $900-$1000 to do the spark plugs , just watched a video on it & it's just a matter of disconnecting a few tabs , hoses & wires to get the manifold off. Seems a lil too Costly @ a shop.
You do not have to remove the intake manifold to replace front ignition coil. Ive done it. Just remove purge solenoid above it.
From what I’ve read this is a very common problem too. I just bought an 08 enclave for my fiancé with 97k miles well get engine reduced power before I got it out the city taking it home smh everyone is saying throttle body needs replaced doing that today hopefully that’s the case but according to google this is a very very common problem with these
If they gonna build POS…..at least make it ….
User friendly and fixable
Just bought a 2012 only issue I’m having is my dash lights keep going out. Anyone have any ideas why?
How come some have problems but the majority don’t.
I would like to add no. 6,7,,8 etc. Buick Enclave 08 has the worst electronic system. My Enclave is only 98k mileage. The dashboard light system where it has important information of mileage and more are blank. Bring it to Buick shop and they will inform you ridiculous repair price. Not advisable to purchase this vehicle.
If you remove the purge valve (suggested to replace the o-ring on it when reassembling) you can get the #6 plug out without removing the intake, and YES you can also get the rear 3 out without removing the intake. Maybe a new video since many people rely on your productions?
Also, if you remove the intake it is an awesome precaution to replace the gasket during reassembly.
We had a 2015 Enclave Leather edition. Awesome.reliabke car. My son has it now and only issue hes ever had is a 02 sensor. Otherwise one of the nicest 3rd row roomy Suvs built.. i shoukd have kept it vs 80k on the Lincoln Aviator we have i had 5 recalls before i drive it home off dealers showroom. Buicks known for reliability.. a 6 ft tall 200 lb man wont get in 3rd row of many suvs w as much leg room as he has in 1st row seating. The buick u can. Very roomy.
The Biggest Issue with The Buick Enclaves is the Transmission!!!!! I cant believe he never mentioned it!!! I bought a used 2012 Enclave with 90k. I had to replace aleady in the first 6 months of ownership. The transmission, waterpump ,timing chains(2300.00) coils and spark plugs, starter, belts hoses, and it spent 9 weeks in the garage after 1st month of ownership(transmission parts were back ordered for 40 days!} It was a nightmare. The dealer had replaced the power steering pump (which still groans ) tires and brakes. There is a ton more of smaller parts not mentioned. I hope I can get at least 3 more years out of it!
