Silver Buick Exhaust Repair

Bizzarefurhead (his spelling) and uxwbill do a little exhaust repair on the 1988 Buick LeSabre to correct a sagging pipe. Yes, this is something of a “rednec…

uxwbill says:

@criind Yes, they are very common. Of the ones that are still on the road
around here, nearly all have low-hanging exhaust. Interestingly (?), the
Old Cold Forgotten Buick does not have the same problem.

useryt98 says:

This video reminds me of myself working on my vehicles. How I long for a
nice lift in my garage.

ncrdisabled Submarine vet says:

What no warrenty from the shop that put that piece of crap fix on the car?

MAG315 says:

With the proper tools, that boy could be downright dangerous.

randomrazr says:

@uxwbill driving video prob wont be anytime soon, but a starting video,
DEFINATELY!

uxwbill says:

@AnimeGuy2005 The Eternity phone seems like it has a keyboard. I don’t
think this one does. At least I’ve never seen ‘furhead using a keyboard on
it. Other than that, the two phones are very close.

randomrazr says:

i never get tired of ur buick vids uxwbill! there always my favourite!

krissass says:

What was Furrhead holding up to keykeepers truck and saying “you’re good
now” LOL

uxwbill says:

@krissass He had one of the Keykeeper’s stick-on magnetic mowing service
signs, held up backwards so you couldn’t see the printing on it. He and I
actually got yelled at when the Keykeeper saw this video!

weasel2htm says:

It could be the Kenny phone (South Park reference) Nice to see another
‘furhead video. So what cassette is that hanging out of the cassette deck?
😀

moldymac says:

My 87 Lesabre manages to somehow have 90% of its original exhaust system,
and factory hangers intact. I think the factory hanger was just 2 rubber
donuts that hung on a welded on hanger from the pipe to the bottom of the
floor pan, as long as the hangers are still there, should only cost a few
bucks to get that fixed up right.

TheDataZoo says:

LOL i have a old ericsson and i have like trashed it (not purposely) and
she runs good still XD. now i have motorola because i know it will server
me good 😀

krissass says:

@uxwbill Haha really, you guys got yelled at LOL, it was funny lol

uxwbill says:

@ncrdisabled Probably not. For all we know, it could well have been work
done before we owned the car.

BonhommeRichard91 says:

@criind My 98 Deville is the same way. Any more than a few inches of snow
and its dragging a path.

dwayne0t says:

“This is how most of our work ends, with a pretty big let-down”- – LOL !
The macaroon I was eating nearly passed thru my nose

uxwbill says:

@dwayne0t I’ll have to add “eating macaroons” to the list of things that
should be not be attempted while watching our videos.

Josh says:

I LOVE my buick 🙂 it just keeps going.

uxwbill says:

@MAG315 Although he’d like everyone to think otherwise and openly admits
such, ‘furhead is neither lazy nor stupid. His field of experience is in
autobody work, although he did take a construction class when in high
school. He’s also very good at thinking on his feet. Sometimes the speed at
which he can come up with snappy remarks is startling.

AnimeGuy2005 says:

The Samsung Eternity i believe. That’s the exact same phone i have and its
been through allot of bang, bumps, smacks, thunks and drops but it still
works like the day i bought it. Nice to see I’m not the only one though who
still has one. Nice job on the exhaust repair too. 🙂

Jon B. says:

I’ve seen a lot of Buicks and other GM vehicles with this same problem, low
hanging exhaust.

uxwbill says:

@BonhommeRichard91 If I were you, I’d blame the Keykeeper! (I don’t know if
you’d believe it or not, but ‘furhead is a very conservative driver. Their
driving mannerisms couldn’t be more different.)

uxwbill says:

@junker15 I like the majority of that particular album and some of the
later releases from Chumbawamba are nicely put together, even if I don’t
always agree with the message they’re trying to put across.

uxwbill says:

@moldymac That is pretty darn amazing, really! I’m not sure the hanger is
still around, but it’s on my list of things to check. Fixing this properly
would be nice, since the car is in pretty good shape otherwise (all of the
power stuff works except the trunk popper, and the A/C still blows nice and
cold).

linuxlove4004 says:

The screwed-on peanut butter jars sounds like something my grandfather
would do. Hey, what’s wrong with it as long as it works?

junker15 says:

“I get knocked down, but I get up again… and you’re never gonna keep me
down!” Samsung Epic 4G is the phone I have. It has taken abuse (both
hardware and software) and it works perfectly. Much better than that junky
Pre I had. I guess a missing strap was why the exhaust on my Cavalier hung
down in its final years with me. Evil potholes combined with road salt!

MAG315 says:

@uxwbill Yeah, I’ve heard a few of his zingers in past videos. You can
definitely count on him for a good comeback.

BonhommeRichard91 says:

We all know that furhead tore the exhaust pipe going up skyhill.

AnimeGuy2005 says:

@uxwbill Yes my phone has a virtual keyboard if you turn it sideways when
you type a message or use the internet. I didn’t know that there were
different kinds of phones like mine out there. 🙂

clubcar98 says:

Our Bonneville’s exhaust is bad. A lot of hangers are broke or missing, so
its wired in too. Oh well, it works! At least its not 100 degrees where you
are (yet?) then working on cars is a real chore. That phone is pretty
funny, I know of a few people with iPod Touches that are just shattered and
still work fine. I have no idea how though…

727JeffN says:

Exactly the way I’ve always done it!

Jerkwad152 says:

My grandpa had an old Chevy Nova with a hole in the muffler. In lieu of
taking it to the muffler shop, he took a piece of tin and a couple of coat
hangers and covered the hole. Ever once in a while, the coat hangers would
melt or break, and he’d just put fresh ones on.

bigtoy63 says:

Well that might not be the best way of fixing a exhaustsystem, but it works
better than letting it hang loose… Nice fix anyways 🙂

uxwbill says:

@randomrazr It’s my hope that someday I’ll get to see you driving your own
Buick.
