The only video showing How To’s on a Buick on Youtube. I can change Trans
Oil on my In-Law’s Buick now. Thank you and appreciate your time for the
video and the instructions Bill. Buick is a good car, my in-law love it and
has like 180,000kms. hope to see more Buick video from you.

Bee Jay says:

with all the rust under there, should have had those safety glasses on.

The Video Man says:

it is 100 KPH

TheStuffz says:

Buick.com’s manual says 7L for drain and fill

John Deere says:

Your Buick has 95,950 miles on it here in the states

traxeon255 says:

Bill, doesn’t your truck have like 300K + on it? If so, and the fluid has
never been changed before, I would probably just leave it alone. I have
been told that if you change the fluid on a high mileage car that has never
had its fluid changed then your transmission might not work right. What I
have been told was that the old fluid has a lot of grit in it and the
transmission is used to all that grit. The new fluid is very slippery and
an old transmission cannot shift properly without the grit.

mrquad777 says:

It’s only 8. Years old. I have a Honda that’s a 2005 and has done 150k
miles without any rust treatments and it has barely any rust on it.

Seegal Galguntijak says:

As far as I know (also, what for example Ericthecarguy said in his videos),
it’s 10-15k for engine oil (some say, from 8k on it makes sense) and 40-60k
for AT fluid. I love manual transmissions, they don’t need oil changes!

RandyDarkshade says:

I remember the time I was using an electric strimmer (weed hacker) I had
just wound new wire on the spool, clipped it all back together, turned the
hacker on and the spool flew off and down the garden! I had to go retrieve
it and rewind it all again. I guess I didn’t slip the spool in properly! lol

39gadget says:

Man your OCD is so terrible that you even repeated your comment.

MrTopGnome says:

i couldn’t stop laughing when you said “tranny fluid”

Greens Beans 53 says:

Bill if your Buick is anything like my Impala (from under side they look
identical) the four lines that are rusting where the line clips touch them,
are as follows; one large line is the fuel supply from the fuel tank, the
other large one is an air pollution evap line, two small lines are rear
brake lines, and the last small line is the return fuel line. Soon you may
have to replace them all.

bcarbaugh says:

It will tell you right on the dipstick how to check the level

Seegal Galguntijak says:

But on the other hand, if this too much of a gasket doesn’t form a leak,
the only problem with the blue stuff would be more gunk to clean off when
you change your oil the next time.

39gadget says:

You have to get Dilly to pull over so you can weed whack his head gear. He
needs a little off the top of the artificial turf Mohawk.

matthebest018 says:

It may sound odd but if you can get your PCM tuned. You will get alot more
hp and better fuel economy. It will change how it shifts for better
performance and economy. Great vid man.

GoldCars666 says:

Might just be enought cleaning the idle motor to fix the issue too.

fillg says:

You’re a good talker Bill. Almost 70 minutes of nearly constant talking and
it’s all relevant to what you’re doing. I run out of stuff to say after
about 5 minutes. It’d take me a week to come up with 70 minutes of video.
Keep up the good work!

sgttj says:

The hard shifting is a valve sticking inside the transmission. They are
known for that. GM is well aware of problem.

patrick5507 says:

Bill, you have to check it when the car is running and in neutral and level
ground…

spongebob7285 says:

Do you store Gasoline on site?

kevinp860 says:

clean your map sensor and sea foam the throttle body…..I promise it will
run better

GoldCars666 says:

Billy, because of the high rpm issue, might be the idling motor wich is
starting to get bad. (Small little unit somewhere in the engiene room) Had
that issue twice on a volvo 850, when the car just idles it wont let off
the throtthle and had to tap the gass pedal to make it let off. It also had
high rpm while driving. But that idle motor fixed that issue on that car.

EpicxXsnake says:

U live in cork

Enfield Police says:

computer controlled shifting bill if you juice it the computer will shift
hard instead of slip in gear which creates heat

Deere8245r says:

Bill. Isn’t it dexron six? iv is four. vi is six.

thebravo1994 says:

Oil gard it

zack gabriel says:

Bill if you take your tractor out there with you, you can put the cloth on
the bonit of your tractor and dry it that way

northstar2007 says:

Thats kinda borderline…. you might notice the transmission failing sooner
then you might want it to…. high mileage and no trans fluid change… the
murky color is the clutch material embedded in the fluid… I’ve seen trans
fail like that after a fluid change.

Yamahatrailbike125 says:

If you put the oil in 50-1 what happens if you put fill the red tank half
full do you need to put more fuel I’m the red tank

Tragic Hero says:

only 87k miles. not bad at all.

backwoods3214 says:

change that again in 50 miles.

deanbhill says:

For gas mileage change your fuel filter

TheThecyclist says:

i keep saying doey holly crap frig sakes and i live in scotland i also wear

Porcupine LS says:

STIHL!!!!!!

m1008chevy says:

Great video!

fillg says:

Crazy automatic transmission black magic… I hadn’t had one since the
early 90s so in 2008 I bought a new car with an automatic and after 6
months I couldn’t wait to get rid of it. Every time I hit the gas it
couldn’t decide what gear it wanted and usually when it did, it wasn’t the
right one. I’ll never own another unless my knees get so bad I can’t use a
clutch anymore.

JONES159008 says:

lol i like the dryier
