I am quite a few years from when I worked on this stuff but I just remembered a car similar to the problems of the Grand National besides the car hauler problem I just commented on. It had the same exact problems as the grand national with the cracked manifold. Down stream from the exhaust manifolds are probably 2 cat. converters and 2 ox. sensors in front of each converter and that side where the cracked manifold is they are thinking very lean exhaust. I put a manifold on that side wala it ran fine. I even think the was not the problem at all.

1987 is obd 1 obd2 started in 96, very little info in your 86, can not be read bby a modern scan tool
once u fix that crack in the pipe things should b better.
