so the heat system works with the antifreeze. i will try to dump the water
from whatever pipes that may have some fluids stuck inside.. i think this
is not going to be easy. but my main problem is that the heat stinks like a
dirty socks.

ThatOneGunGuy says:

Thank you Eric for the tip on not damaging the tubing, but I never damage
the hose {sic}.

shoominati23 says:

lol, I know what secret product you were using even though you taped it
up… they used to advertise it on TV all the time

Dave denton says:

Entertaining video. The coolant splash was funny. We’ve all had similar
experiences. That product, I believe CRC?? may be caustic??..Simple
household white vinegar works great for cleaning a variety of things and
won’t harm you. And it’s cheaper.

vanisloo says:

great vid thnx just stubled along the vid had to sub cheers

Unidente02 says:

I would suggest using lights for your videos. Most of your engine
compartment shots are too dark to be of any visual use. Technical
information is useful, though.

Zachary Hansen says:

Ohh man thanks for the tips and the good laugh!

Mark Lewis says:

Thanks I need to try this. 1995 F-150 extended cab, everything works but
the heater. It’s winter here in New England and life is hell until I try
this. Thanx again!

Tim Box says:

This worked for me! Thanks Eric!

Tim Johnson says:

I just did this on my 2000 blazer. I used a water hose instead of air.
But I used the same product that you did and I back flushed it. A ton of
black gunk came out and now my heat works great. Thanks for the video.

Sami Smith says:

so maybe i can get some advice here, I have a 1996 mustang V6, (i know its
a wanna be) 3.8L. i replaced the thermostat about a month ago, threw in
some anitfreeze, ran great for about 2 months, now my temp gauge says its
running on the warm side and but that i mean the M or the A on NORMAL, and
i have NO heat what so ever, its -32 and i live in montana, would a flush
help< replace the radiator and the heater core? Anything will help! thank you!

Chris Brown says:

HIya Eric your best video ever lol thanks for the tips, your the man.

Harv Whisnant says:

Appreciate your advice and effort. Ideally you would use a “Zoo Gun”( or a
home hose make up to fit the Heater Hose) and Gently apply a Slow, Lite
pressure trickle of Water. USE CAN ALWAYS USE MORE AS U GO IF NECESSARY.
Then if using the Zoo Gun ” use a LOW Pressure behind the Water . Best
thing is CAUTION. Heater Cores CAN be fragile and will BLOW apart! Caution
is the word..Especially ez to blow the tank off if it is stopped up..
Nothing worse than having to remove one that was do-able from the
outside.Ask a reputable Radiator Shop for advice on this, if any questions.
The older the better..

Bob B says:

I use muratic acid . ten flus with a mixture of baking soda an water to
neutralize acid. ten flush that wit water. o an wear safety glasses

WildWhiteFang says:

What if you dont have an air compressor? Is there another way to do. The
heat in my Jeep (same model as the one you were working on) the heat gives
out limited warm air, but as it gets colder you get less and less heat, and
I cant figure it out for the life of me.

allenfig18 says:

This shit is easy to do we just need the tools smh

mike dee says:

Thanks a lot Eric!

chris douglas says:

I did this to my clogged heater core. it started blowing warm again. not
hot but now instead of icy air, it started getting warm. even though i
flushed it like crazy, when you turn the vents on it smell like CLR.

Gene Fuller says:

Eric just wondering if it might have been the thermostat to start with?

Tyrone Walker says:

Where does all that crap come from?

Joel Jazwiecki says:

I keep getting air trapped in heater core. I get it out, it gets back in.
My plastic reservoir is cracked. Could this be the problem? Maybe when the
car cools air is sucked back in?

Enrique Ayon says:

Hi Eric. I have a problem with my acura integra 91 . its been leaking
antifreeze around the oil pan . what should I do.? . do you have A video
similar to the problem…. Thank you have a bless day…. Enrique….. PS:
I do like watch your work in cars.

466htrd says:

I’ve got a 2000 f150 that needs this done. The coolant in the system is
filthy. I’m going to do what i can to keep the heater core clean. When the
heater core goes out on the 97 to 03 f150s you have to dissassemble the
whole dash inside, to get the core out.
