Rein Teder says:

Helpful. Thanks for posting.

Jtest82 says:

Question; why do you disconnect the Negative (Gnd) on the battery instead
of the Positive terminal.? Isn’t the positive (hot) terminal wire connected
directly to the solenoid and always hot. If you leave the positive on and
you was laying on the wet ground wouldn’t you get shocked ? just asking.

Lewis Almeida says:

Very clear, simple and easy to follow. Thanks for your help. Lewis

A thin, often tapered piece of material used to fill gaps, make something

sixtycastle says:

Do you have a video of how to change a starter on an 03 honda element?
Would be nice if you did, since I have replace my wife’s

bbbindustries . says:

@sixtycastle, there is nothing make/model specific about changing a
starter, other than locating it in the vehicle. If you need help finding
it, just do a quick Google search. Also, are you sure you “have to replace”
the starter? Have you watched our starter troubleshooting video and
performed all the tests? Good luck!

Acuransx135 says:

I’ve been watching Eric the car guy for a couple of years now. All of his
videos are just as informative as this one. I highly recommend checking out
some of his other videos if this one was useful to anyone.

MissKatieBailey says:

Way more detailed than the Autozone video. I’m actually excited to get this
sucker out tomorrow and figure out why it stopped doing its job. I’ll be
asking for a BBB unit fasho

Why do you take jack down after putting jack stands under car, i use them
both i dont trust jacks or jack stands so i use them both.

bbbindustries . says:

Year, make, model and engine please?

bbbindustries . says:

@lustfabian, Before you replace your starter, please watch our video on
starter troubleshooting and diagnosis. At this point, I wouldn’t assume the
starter is your problem. Better to play it safe and take a couple of meter
readings. You can find the video on our YouTube channel. Good luck!

bbbindustries . says:

That’s great news, @Nate Vessell. You should buy your lady something nice
with all that money you saved!

bbbindustries . says:

Thanks, @agperea, for taking the time to comment. Good luck!

houshidar558 says:

@Hyproactiveman LOL are you like 12?

bbbindustries . says:

Sorry, @Alejandro Velasquez, we don’t have any model specific installation
videos.

bbbindustries . says:

Take all precautions necessary to avoid fluid contamination to the
replacement starter. As for how to remove the lines, it is always best to
refer to your vehicles service manual.

Wheelchaser1962 says:

Thank you so much for the vid. I am a relatively new wrench. Bought a1960
Willys and it has a 327 in it and I just wanted to see that I was doing
things correct. But as usual, with an open mind I learned something. Not to
torque the nuts so much to damage solenoid.
