hanks for this video. Here are a couple of notes on the one I just did. I had to rent a sliding hammer to get my hub out of my 01 Impala. Then I found out that I had to remove 2 torx screws and spring from the emergency brake bracket that is on the back of the brake backing plate to get the hub away from the backing plate. The aluminum housing that the hub fits into was corroded pretty bad and holding the hub bearing in very tightly. I used a wire brush on it spun by a drill to clean it up.

You may want to check the wheel bearings.

Thanks it helped me!

We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows this particular repair. It shouldn’t be to difficult to do. We do carry the rear wheel bearings and also Haynes manuals on our website 1aauto.com that should cover the repair for you. Hope this helps. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

I need to replace a rear wheel bearing on my 02 ford taurus. How difficult would it be to replace it.

1aauto says:

They can be in there pretty tight sometimes, due to years of rust and corrosion.
