deeeltee says:

Thanks for this video. I used this as a guide in changing the filter on my
04 Impala, and it took me all of 5 minutes.

805hoodrat says:

Is there another filter inside? It looked like there was a round one
underneath.

TheCrownRoyalKid says:

I have a 2009 Buick Lacrosse, this looks like the same setup but I can’t
get the windshield wipers to stay in the up position. Is there anything I
can do to get them to stay up?

nplack says:

Same process for 2004 Impala, just had annoying pop-rivets instead of the
leftmost screw and the rightmost bolt. Also, the foam trim between the
windshield cowl and the body metal had become stuck together even though
there was no adhesive. Just pry them apart from one side and it all goes
smooth.

bchow398 says:

Gosh dang right man. I just went to a mechanic today that wanted 70 dollars
to do this thang. I can do this!!!!!

filterheads says:

Certainly! We’re glad this video could help!

Dave N says:

Nice video. I was wonder how to access the cabin air filter. This seems
pretty easy. I will have a look at the filter and clean it up or replace it
if necessary. Thanks for posting.

LucysoFresh803 says:

45ACP says:

Good video, thanks a lot. The process is exactly the same for any Buick

Patricia Plankey says:

Awesome, thanks so much. I had been having a mouse smell in my 2005 impala
for 6 months. i couldn’t find it. When i searched for air flow pictures I
got your utube video. I didn’t even know there was a cabin filter, sure
enough I ordered a new filter, got it in 2 days. Then when I opened up the
cover , there was a nasty mouse nest the size of a foot ball. The filter
was completely clogged with mouse crap, nasty. I did it myself , with your
help!. Thanks, Patricia

EASTNJMAN says:

I think it on the dipstick. On my monte carlo it says Dextron V.So it
should be the same in a impala

Brian Meike says:

“My a/c recycle button lights up when pressed but doesn’t stop the “fresh
air” from comming in. Air not so fresh when sitting in traffic or following
a diesel.”

hippo459 says:

is this the same as a buick century?

Anthony Simpson says:

Thanks for the video, had a musty smell for months inside my 2004 Chevy
Impala, clean the inside very well an could not get the order out, never
knew there was a cabin filter for this type of car, REPLACE the filter as
shown in the video, Musty smell is gone!!! The video was VERY HELPFUL !!!!

TheCrownRoyalKid says:

I had to turn the washer knob backwards to get the wipers to move once,
then I had to immediately turn it to high and turn off the car, the wipers
stopped in the up position and I was able to replace the air filter.

filterheads says:

You’re welcome!

Luis Ceballos says:

good thing i found this, my dads 2004 Impala has almost 190 miles and he
uses the A/C all the time, we have changed the Blower Fan already but he
complains that the Air does not come out with as much force as before, that
air filter must be completely clogged.

filterheads says:

We’re glad our video helped you save some money!

Marcus Clark says:

this vid helped me earn how to remove the cowl cover, but i have a leak
when it rains going to my passenger floor, could the weather strip be off
or the drain be plugged

filterheads says:

I would certainly make sure the weather strip is secure in the right place.

Allen John says:

Thanks filterheads. Great demonstration.

filterheads says:

Yes, this filter and procedure is the same for the 2009 Chevrolet Impala.

tulio mancilla says:

bien..!

filterheads says:

We’ve noticed that some later model Buicks have an automatic wiper system
that won’t let the wipers stay in the up position. You may have to remove
the wiper blade to get to the filter housing. We’re working on getting an
updated video to reflect this procedure.

filterheads says:

We’re glad you were able to change your filter!

MrMayday7777 says:

Thanks for the information. Jobs like this are so much easier once they
have been seen.
