Yes, the brass gears are a great idea. I just didn’t want to deal with them
so I replaced the entire motor, shaft, and nut. It came out to about the
same price and I have had no problems with the motors that I put in(with
plastic gears).
I watched your video a couple times and then tore into mine. I ordered some
gears online from a gentleman who sales them. My seats are now built to
last with brass gears instead of those crappy plastic factory gears. It was
actually pretty easy job. I would recommend not cutting bolts off but
rather pull pin and rivots from both connecting ends. Good luck and thanks
