I have a 2000 Impala with a nice L67 swap and lots of upgrades. One thing I would love to modify is the Monte SS cluster I currently have installed.

The PRNDL Indicator in the cluster just mirrors the position of the floor shifter. My floor shifter has its own PRNDL Indicators and I have a feel for which position I shift into or out of simply because it's my car, my build, and I know how to drive.

If you know how to get the cluster indicator to mirror the actual gear the transmission is in (in real time) regardless of manual or automatic shifting, that would be awesome!!

Ideal situation would be floor shifter in D as the cluster will indicate 1 while at a dead stop. Floor the accelerator and watch the cluster indicate 2 then 3 then D. And make it happen for deceleration too.

This mod would be great for many vehicles. Possibly make it a selectable mod from the OEM design with the touch of a switch or a menu option.

And my odometer lights up …but it doesn't mark the PRND123…it only marks the 1&2…but no milage…if someone can help me with that.. please.

carlos ortiz says:

Does that have to do with the temperature gauge?…on my vehicle the temperature gauge is off,..it's always points towards hot…and goes toward cold as it heats up ..

Was wondering what kind of solder does Chrysler use on their Ram and Sebring clusters. I am having hard time getting it to flow.

I like your videos! Do you know what resistor I need to replace one that I broke on my 2004 chevy suburban cluster? It had 240 on it. Also does it matter what direction I put it in?

Poverty Garage says:

Congrats on the new job. What sort of position?

jeffescortlx says:

And just to mention anyone with a Regal with the dual display will also have another 4 resistors to the left. Hopefully you'll still have time for us cluster people when you're building mars rover's for Musk?
