Wrong that’s the side mount

giantAsFan says:

Please do a video showing the steps to remove this mount

SteveXnycperformance says:

Hello, please inspect engine/transmission cradle bushing. The rubber body
mount behind the front wheels will become rotten which will cause vibration
at vary speed. Check the rear suspension bushing too. The PA must maintain
a factory four wheel alinement for the best in comfort ride. Also suspect
upper strut mount and bearing.

Ron Ross says:

I’ve a 2002 Park Ave. Replaced that front motor mount 2x, and sides 1x ea.
Replaced CV axles 2x ea. There is a vibration i’ve tried to find for over
3yrs now I can’t get rid of, happens around 65mph. It could be a
combination of replacing everything at once might improve it. Bad tires
contributed even, but brand new ones only improved it, didn’t get rid of
it. And MANY Mechanics did their Expert work, and much money later it’s
still there. Got tired of asking for help and just drv it

My 2000 pontiac Booneville do that to

that shit fuck up my fuel lines with time..its just a chain of effects

Allen Christo says:

Hey Steve, my wife called the dealer. He told her the parts were very
different and would not work. I was hoping that you were correct. Do you
think the dealer is wrong? Any ideas on what I could try now?

giantAsFan says:

How do I remove the front trans mount on 96 Pontiac bonnevile it’s in front
on the drivers side.can u please do a video on removing the trans/engine
mount it has a shock absorber on it

Steve .T says:

hey Steve, i cant find the 2nd part of the video , got a link for it?

Allen Christo says:

Hey Steve, I am not having any luck at all. The place I ordered the part
from cancelled my order. They didn’t say why but, I’m sure they
discontinued the part. They just never updated their site. My wife called
those numbers you gave us. No luck their either. This is crazy. There just
has to be one of these somewhere.

Alberto Rivera says:

how many total bolts do I have to take off for the transmission?

SteveXnycperformance says:

there is no production for part 2. this video only expose the most common
failure with the H-Body engine mount on the 3800 engine.

SteveXnycperformance says:

Try to find a local salvage yard that has your model car and it will be
cheaper and easier. the non-S/C bracket will work too. E-mail me your
location and i will find you a vendor in a salvage yard with your part. 99
Buick Park Ave with the 3.8 ultra is a super cool car.

djprice69 says:

Thanks for posting this video. I believe my ’00 LeSabre has this exact same
issue. Did you make another video showing how to replace this mount? I’ve
seen a couple other clips in regards to changing other motor/transmission
mounts but they were on completely different vehicles with very different
setups. Oh – thanks for the video on dropping the tranny pan on a Buick as
well – that was a Huge help and I was able to do the same thing by
following your instructions. Thanks!

Allen Christo says:

You’re right this car is powerful. It’s my wife’s car. Much better than
mine. When you drive this car it feels like you’re driving a cop car. Step
on the gas and it’s like a rocket. Really low gas mileage though but, great
performance. I live in Bridgeport, Connecticut 06606. Thanks for your help.
We really appreciate it.

bigdaddy6879 says:

No problem man. Its cool. Thanks for the help though. I will keep up with
hour videos. Never know when they will come in handy.

Allen Christo says:

My wife has a bad front engine mount bracket. They tell her they can’t get
the part she needs. She has the 99 Buick Park Ave with the 3.8 ultra. Any
suggestions on where we can get that part? This is a real nice car. The
engine is still very strong and clean. I would hate to give up on this car.
It runs really strong. We just need to find that part. They say its been
discontinued.

SteveXnycperformance says:

A lot of General Motor part are been discontinue so GLOBAL MOTOR and sell
imports and plastic. I will see if i can locate one for you.Have you tried
getting it weld? untill i can locate one for you.

Allen Christo says:

I don’t know if you realize that I am looking for the BRACKET and not the
mount itself. I found a web site that says they have it in stock. I ordered
it yesterday. Know I just hope their site is up to date. The part number is
25665830. I found another site that said they had it but, they had the
mount and not the bracket. I hope this site has it. Autoplicity

SteveXnycperformance says:

No part 2.

SteveXnycperformance says:

20.

MAJIKOHIO says:

im felling my 3800 jump in my 99 lesabre the same way thanks!!

suncruiser00 says:

thakyou very much for this video!!! i didnt realize that a bad motor mount
could destroy the tranny.. i was lookin at a park ave that i could swear
had a bad motor mount it would drop in gear and reverse and the motor moved
ALOT… thanks..

SteveXnycperformance says:

I luv that car. i hope to own one in the future has a daily driver. i don`t
care about the mileage. I will be in touch with you by PM on a few days
with a Salvage yard you may be able to pick up the part at.

Allen Christo says:

I know I asked if it could be welded. The mechanic wasn’t sure how long
that would last. I haven’t gave up on finding the part but, I’m running out
of ideas. If you could track one down, that would be great. Thanks for
trying.

bigdaddy6879 says:

Hey bro. I was wondering, where is part 2? I am in need of the visual aid
to disassemble mine and replace the front motor mount as well. Thanks
buddy, great videos

SteveXnycperformance says:

Try order the part for the 99 Pontiac Bonneville SSEI with the 3800 engine
.it that same part. The Buick Park ave is consider a “H” Body model. and
any “H” body model mount will fit.

Laurynas Tamosiunas says:

how can i replace all of my mounts on my 91 lesabre i think there is 3 2
trans and one engine mount. ive repaced one before but it still lifts the
engine when i accelerat ein drive, and makes a slam sound when i quickly
releas the gas .

Dhanpaul CHINAPEN says:

I have a 2004 impala ls and I just change my mount I still see it moving a
little is that suppose to happen?

SteveXnycperformance says:

The Oldsmobile Eight-nine and and royal are also the same.

bigdaddy6879 says:

Oh. I was under the impression there was, Cuz you said that you were gonna
show how to remove it. Oh well. Great video either way. I will use this to
fix mine.

Laurynas Tamosiunas says:

i would appreciate info. yeah i have replaced one of teh 3 trans mounts
before the front one near the ac comp. then the from teh drivers view left
back mount thats in the corner is the hardest, i had itr unbolted but you
need to unbolt the front one near the ac at the same time because the side
of the engine will not go high enough to clear the bracket to remove it.
thats the issue i ran into. But i will be attempting to replace it today
ill try to make a video.

SteveXnycperformance says:

It is not a difficult mount to replace. The top and bottom bolts are of a
17mm and the engine will need jacking up. Don`t forget to place a block of
wood between the jack saddle and the engine surface(oil pan). sorry about
the miss leading.

SteveXnycperformance says:

Thank you, sir. I have seen and place my hands on millions of cars in my
pass 26yrs, and soon has i lift my head from this little hold ,you might be
seeing dream machines :-). This is my hobbies and it feed all. car YEA We
are`R` Care …;-)

SteveXnycperformance says:

to remove it, un-bolt the 17mm nut under the cradle in direction of the
mount. then un-bolt the upper mount bracket from the engine block with a
hydraulic jack saddle kissing the oil pan with a wood in between.it only
require a 1 inch lift, swap the upper bracket to the new mount and reverse
install procedure the mount.some pan are aluminum and some stamp steel,so
make sure the pan does not become dent or it will block the Oil pump
strainer, restricting oil flow for a damage engine.

Allen Christo says:

Thank you Steve. We will try that right away. I hope you’re correct. I am
surprised nobody else looking for the part knew this. I would hate to give
up on this car. It has a lot of good miles left on it.

Laurynas Tamosiunas says:

Thank you, yeah the front one has 3 bolts below 2 up top on frame. then the
hard one has one up top(thank god) and 3 bellow.

camc10cam says:

Hello, I cant find part II to this video of changing the engine/trans mount.

SteveXnycperformance says:

cool. the bolts are 15mm. 3 to the cradle and 3 to the trans case. Think
Safety.

giantAsFan says:

CAN SOME 1 please do a VID on removing the front trans/engine mount with
shock absorber

WWBZT1 says:

noise turning the wheel can also be the intermediate shaft and lack of
lube. How many miles can you get out of the axles before they have to be
cleaned an relubed. …that 3.8 is ready to go through the hood….I have a
3.4L and it has 2 dogbone type motor mounts at the top.

SteveXnycperformance says:

I can e-mail you the info. The 91 BLT has 4 mounts. The most common one to
break is the 1 under the A/C compressor, and then the front transmission
mount will break(radiator). The hardest mount to replace is the rear trans
mount which is located between the steering rack & trans. The 4th mount
would be the one mounted @ the Right trans out-put shaft. It is best to do
the two front mount(Radiator) and then the 2 rear. Use a wooden bock
between a saddle jack, with the car supported on stands.
