You know the last time I said you could use other full synthetic motorcycle
oils other than Honda oil,you bit my head off. I said that sometimes
Walmart has those oils cheaper than other places. I meant Quaker State, or
the other reputable brands. I didn’t say use Walmart oil. I wouldn’t use
that junk in anything.

Back in the day, that oil container would have been 2 US pints, when you
went metric the factories didn’t want to retool with 1 litre moulds, so
they just used the metric equivalent of the 2 pints on the label, much
cheaper that way

Bill it might be the actual brake flex hose, they can deteriorate
internally and don’t let the fluid back to the master keeping the brakes
applied.

The last time I replaced the calipers on my 1996 C1500. I had a heck of a
time attaching the line to the caliper, the washer would not form a tight
seal until I cranked on it with everything I had. Generally, I
under-tighten, so, maybe it takes a lot of torque to seat the thing?

Oil filter wrenches/sockets should only be used when someone put the last
filter on too damn tight.

use the Pennzoil it never let me down that’s the only oil I ever use and
used I never used synthetic though I use conventional because I think
synthetic is a waste of money but what ever you use is up to you.

That is a Quart not a liter a Quart = 946 milliliters. Witch means 3 1/2
quarts. I like castrol oil but what i like to do is keep using oil never
change brands it has deferent additives and they can mess with each other.

Bill stay away from quaker state oil. It just the bad for bike. And that
syinthic crap does really bad for bikes too. Please do me a favor and don’t
use them.

If you ever replace your car then you should get a car like what we use in
Europe. We had a Honda accord 2.2 diesel lasted 250,000 miles and we had no
problems with callipers or bearing and no oil leaks
