ahhh white is easy. doesnt matter if you put on 3 coats or 20 coats of base when its covered its covered.Just stay away from the edge of the fender by the door, so it matches. Your right white is hard to see expecialy puting clear on. sometimes i get on floor and look at the panel from the sides to see the clear going on. white and silver are the worst for clear. it will come out fine take your time.
the dura-cryl spot putty they made me use that on pinholes when i was prepping cars that shit would always shrink when the primer hit it i left it on the sandpaper cart and took a bottle of evercoat from the bodyshop. im just a little nervous when it comes to painting this not because of runs just overlapping white its hard to see.
It’s always good to do things the way you’re taught….There’s always a lot of short cuts you’ll also learn…and there’s still a lot of time on your side…use it bud.
good job. I mix that glaze to with regular filler also. That glaze isnt cheep but the best you can buy. When i worked at the Ford dealer in the body shop we had a guy that used to use that Glaze as Body filler all the time. His name was Gary and we called it Gary Glaze. He used no shit 4 cans a week, 1 case.lol. They stop buying the shit cause of him.Thats the good shit. the lachor tube shit was junk. why did they ever use that crap idk. Keep up the good work. cant wait to see it when done.
i sanded my firebird with 320 grit and it wasnt rough enough should i get 220 or 80 grit?
