On mine the display was out but the functions all worked.

What was the initial problem? Dead ac or just the display? Mine wont send any signal/voltage to the relay under hood. Relays have been checked, no voltage, good fuses. Ive deduced the unit as faulty.

Thank you for the kind words…when you mess with old cars sometimes it becomes obvious when it’s time to cash out.

I see what you were talking about now. Just finished watching all your Riviera videos. You picked that up for a good price, did a great job getting back together and sold it at the right time. It was understandable why you sold it too. That would have been a hard decision if only for the fact that they do have such a nice ride and are so plush on the inside along with all the bells and whistles. I commend you for sticking with it as long as you did. I only wish I were as good a mech. as you are.

OleIrishReb says:

Do you also have a 95 Riviera? I try to keep up but apparently missed it. I had a 95 Riv and really liked the ride it gave. The self leveling compressor gave out but found one off a Caddy and replaced it. Then the traction control went out and by this time I was getting leery of the harmonic balancer because of a bade history of these coming apart on Buick’s. Ended up doing a straight trade for a 50 Chevy 1/2ton. I’ve always liked Buick’s but I had to do too much work to keep the Riv going. GdLk

The Riviera seemed better-built.
