You don’t randomly happens to know how to run cable past the firewall? Such
as a + wire to a subwoofer amp?
Without going under the pedals or drill a hole?

practical! +1

AssyrianKing4ever says:

reporters do? lol but i mean great kid. I couldn’t read as fast as he reads
in his age

make US kids look dumb

DaytonCarCare says:

Smart kid. I was lucky to even know how to break things at that age. I’d
have him trained to do oil changes and tune-ups in no time. ☺

TheProPedalShop says:

Did you need a radio code for the new unit?

Willy Don says:

Re: “He is Asian! This doesn’t count..” Ha ha h..Yes I agree…those kids
ave been wiring electronics even from inside their mother’s womb! Yes they
are that good! :-)

James Feucht says:

He is Asian! This doesn’t count

ViperHHO says:

I am most impressed with your son…very astute. A stereo installation on
an E36 is super easy…kudos to BMW for that. It’s a whole different
ballgame when you have to remove the bulk of the dash and get into adding
amps, caps, subs..etc. I am going to change out my stock head unit on my
328i soon. Was there nothing other than the harness you needed? Nothing
extra for DIN fitment? Great video!

MusikLover2011 says:

wow im fucking 21 years old and I dont know how to do this shit, I’m
embarrassed that your son knows how to do this and I dont and im a grown
ass man, you got one smart ass kid man, send him props for me.

Nick Lopez says:

no lie this video helped me hahaha

EsclameOfficial says:

I’m looking to buy a 97′ convertible 328i and the only two issues were a
broken radio and the AC needs recharging. The fact that this 8 year old
easily replaced the radio pretty much sealed the deal for me.

RoxiiLoveRevolution says:

your son has the best installation video ive seen on youtube!! thank you

afflatus2 says:

@b18k4705 Can you somehow take a few pics and upload it somewhere?

afflatus2 says:

@eevwbulldawg19 It’s defective

Kim B says:

Thanks, I hope this works. I got nervous when I started reading about
airbag warning while installing a radio! Looks like it should be easy nuff!

Matthew Keck says:

Great video, your son is a bright young man. Is he interested in
electronics? Could be the next Bill Gates or Steve Jobs!!! What wrench is
used to get the stock radio out? Where can I find one? Mine isn’t a regular
screwdriver

Desmond Durham says:

you didn’t show how hard it is to get that connector off the back of the
unit. once i connected the new harness, i also could not get that piece to
clip back on because the it would not fit on the harness completely. other
than these 2 lil issues, i loved the video. i knew what to expect during my
installation and it turned out fine. thank you.

Nick Hammond says:

What a champ

chillichomper says:

get is that the harness at the back is diffrent to yours so im not able to
connect any wires… or match any wires to my stereo please help regards

Colin Ngeow says:

if i connect the blue bmw wire to the white wire of the radio set, do i
connect the white bmw wire to the radio set? P.S i have not bought a radio
set, so i do not know if this is a valid question. I’d like to try fixing
my own radio ;D

Levi Epperson says:

Asirin Geralds says:

Blue and white wire tip, very much needed

MrAnderson610 says:

Sweet…….!

jwmpayne says:

Lovely Filipino smart kid! Thanks

wesmath1 says:

nice video but if you choose to solder the harness then it is way better to
use heat shrink rather than electrical tape because cars are constantly
thermal cycled which may cause the tape to unravel. which could cause a
short and and a headache when you have to replace fuses and fix the wiring

Len-nard Yambot says:

Great stuff, what a pro! Clear and concise, thanks for the help 🙂

rsaba says:

If I have found this video earlier, I had spared 10 hours of google search
! THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!!

nemoede says:

WHERE WOULD I GET THE HARNESS!!! PLEASE RESPOND

nathan mooney says:

what tool do he use to take out the stereo!!! someone tell me i need help!!

afflatus2 says:

@ViperHHO Everything we needed was in the video. But detaching the harness
from the stock radio will be a struggle. You will have to be very patient
with that
