bmw oil. What if I use other brand? Is it safe to use other brand like castrol or Mobil with the same weight?

Good info man, may I ask one question about your E series. I have a 01 330I, do you change your at 10K or 5K? They say we can change ours at 10K.
What angle allows the most complete oil drainage? Some people have the front lifted and some others keep the car level.

Thanks for useful videos. I have a few questions (sorry for asking so many questions) and would like your advice please if you would not mind please.
a) I have seen in the videos that you used the Castrol oil, is it conventional oil or synthetic oil
b) should I buy the oil from BMW dealer or better buy in K mart as it is cheap
c) I am unable to locate where the oil filter in my car's engine compartment, eventhough I have read the car manual book but it does not say in the Engine Compartment chapter. Would you be able to help me please? my car is 2016 BMW X3 F25 LCI xdrive20d.
d) if changing oil without changing oil filter, if that is ok.

When I first got my E90 N52 I believed the BMW stuff about 25k-28kkm oil change intervals. 4 oil changes in 6 years :-S Then I got smart and change every fall & spring, usually 6k/8k mi. Oil analysis is a good idea.

Do you have to add a litre of oil every 2k miles. I heard it's normal on some 335i's but not all of them need to.
I just changed my oil over the weekend. She just hit 101000 miles. Not due for the oil change until another 100 miles but hey nothing wrong with doing it a 100 miles earlier.
