… no option to do so, from YouTube.
Anyway, most BMW shift boots are secured via a plastic frame that snaps
into the console.
Sorry, 2003 Mini Cooper s, if anyone knows. There are no vids on YouTube of
installing after market shift knobs. Only jcw knobs.
What is the diameter on the shifter? So I can see which shift knob fits on
it. (The universal shift knobs)
very useful video thank you very much
shift boot just pull right off?
Great walkthrough, I feel confident doing this now :)
What is the model number/what is the name of the BMW shift knob all the way
to the lower left? Want to purchase it for my car! Thanks!
In the 03 325 bmw, is it possible to replace the drink holders?
is it possibel to snap out the gear from the gear box
you guys carry good products, but it takes forever to ship and having
shipping cost over 100 bucks really sucks. another thing…i got a lower
intake boot from you guys a week ago..and just today got a letter
saying..your intake boot is on its way. aside of the fact that it was late
that is just waste of paper. address those things and no one will hesitate
to shop with you guys. I’ve saved hundreds by using other sites to get the
exact same oem make of parts (before shipping cost). good day
Can you replace e90’s automatic shift knob with e46?
Is it the same for a bmw 525i 2005
I just replaced my old shift knob with a new illuminated one. Check out my
channel for the How to video for instructions.
is that a manual transmion e53 x5?
The drink holders are in the center console. this section is replaceable.
Just call our advisors at 800-535-2002.
Sure is …. full sport package as well. Lucky to have found it.
Thank you for your comments. We certainly don’t wish for a customer to have
a negative experience …. and of course, most don’t. We’d like to look at
the issues that you had. Would you please give us your customer number?
I’m happy with my 328i, but the only performance mods are sport suspension
and the Signature Motoring performance intake for about $150. Signature
Motoring kit adds around 11HP on the dyno, great sound, and the best
performance upgrade for the money. See my channel videos! -Adds 9-11 HP
-Never replace filter again (uses K&N filter) -GREAT SOUND -Installs in
maybe 30-45 min. K&N filter lasts a lifetime. I’m thinking maybe
performance exhaust, but eh.
Nope … no experience with it.
do you have any idea of the possibility of a ebrake handle upgrade for a
Daewoo?
Typically, no. We’ve never seen one pull the lever out of the nylon pivot
bushing … or the bushing out of the support arm.
Any risk of pulling something apart or doing damage when pulling the knob
off with a lot of force? I have a ’90 325is. Thanks.
broke my windshield when it let go
Too bad I didn’t watch this video one year ago. Anyway, now I have an E92,
335i euro version with the 7 speed DCT. I read from the owner’s manual that
you can unlock the transmission from parking (if a dead battery, for
example) using the small tool that comes in the tool box in the trunk.
Could you please make a video on tto do this?
Pull and twist. Off with ease.
No …. In theory, we imagine that if a knob were not coming off and we
pulled even harder, you could perhaps pull the shift lever out of its nylon
pivot bushing. However, we have never seen this happen.
The owner’s manual should discuss using the tool. On an F10 5-series, the
cup holder is removed and the tool is inserted into a socket and turned.
Not sure if it’s the same for the E92
Manual transmission = yes Automatic transmission = no On the auto shifter,
the knob still does “snap” on, similar to the pistol type snap-on auto
shift knob shown, but there is no detent rod. The knob is more like a
manual transmission knob … without the detent rod.
