Great instructional video. I just received mine in the mail. Owned by
Audivox now so hopefully it’s still as good a product. I have one question
however. The instructions read to disconnect both leads from the battery.
You did’nt make mention of this in the video. Is it really necessary? I
hate resetting everything after the battery disconnect. Thanks
Does one really need to disconnect the battery – both positive and negative
terminals before the install?
I have an android device. Will there be any functionality that the iPhone
has and my android does not? It seems the media bridge is marketed mainly
towards iPhone users. Please let me know, thanks!
The mediabridge will not work on the 07 and later models, due to changes in
the vehicle systems data networks.
Yes, the DICE units will work on the E46 (3-series 99-05) models with
Navigation (GPS). just go to our web site ( bavauto.com ) and type DICE
into the search box after entering your BMW or MINI model. Or, call our
agents at 800-535-2002.
Yes, you will still have the C/D changer wiring in the trunk.
There is a rubber grommet for the battery cable passage from the trunk to
the rear seat area. you can pass the wiring through this grommet after
removing the rear seat-back and the trim panel in the trunk.
Stuck in aux mode how can I reset ?
You can use the bluetooth capabilities for both phone and music (if your
device is bluetooth capable for other than phone. and you can connect
directly for music playing via the auxiliary input on the unit (from the
headphone output jack on the android unit.
I read it does work
I have a 2002 325ic convertible. My car has a factory in-dash radio/CD
player. Will it still have all the stuff in the trunk for a CD changer?
I have a 2000 3-series sedan, but I do not have fold down seats. Is there a
way I can still run the wire up to the front of the car?
The 2007 models use a fiberoptic system, which is not compatible with the
Media Bridge.
Great directions. Thank you very much!
Hi mate. Will an iPhone 5S work with the dice media bridge. I’ve got BMW
320d my car was born 13 may 2002. Cheers and thank you
I read that the mediabridge 1500 works with the iphone 5, will this work
for a 2007 bmw 525i, thanks
I just installed the DICE in my BMW it was so easy to install and works
great, would recommend this product to anyone.
How can you run the long wire to the front of the car if you don’t have
foldable back seats?
For some reason i dont have a 6 pin connector in my trunk
Thank you for your comments!
Yes, all of the cabling is included in the kit.
do you have to have a cd changer to install this?
So when you connect the Mediabrdge up behind the glove box you can simply
plug in a ‘double ended’ (dont know the technical term for one) usb lead
going into the glove box? Then stick a usb memory stick into it and the car
will automatically recognise all the music files on the usb stick? Is there
a max of the number of files it will recognise if so?
Also is the long wire which goes from the back to the front of the car
provided with the DICE media bridge?
You do need the pre-wired CD changer harnessing in the vehicle. Most, if
not all, BMWs that are specified for the DICE applications, are pre-wired.
You cannot use a CD changer when the DICE unit is installed, as it uses the
CD wiring, in place of the CD changer.
Will this work on 2004 325xi unit with BMW GPS system?
What year and model do you have? Feel free to contact our Customer
Specialists as well, at 800-535-2002.
What model BMW do you have?
If I was to use the MediaBridge only in Bluetooth mode, could I mount the
MB in the boot of my X5 and use the Bluetooth connection to have control
over phone calls and music playback in the front of the car? Thanks!
