MHD has a battery registration reset adaptation. Would that work instead of going through the Bavarian Technic process?

thank you for your helpful video. exhaust sounds good. engine valve lifter sounds a little loud. i think syn oil is too thin to seal lifters mechanism. i add some regular 10w/40 oil, after 2 weeks drive, no more lifter noise.
I replaced my original white battery on my 2007 e92 328i with Wal-Mart Everstar H8 battery without coding and register
When registering the new battery through the bt tool. Does it compensate for a higher cranking, amp etc. if it’s not the same battery type?
I have Carly’s app and the bt tool. I noticed both have different process for registration of a new battery.
But wait you never attached any form of external power to the car? Don’t you do this to prevent losing any software with I drive or something?

Nice diy, first time I did this on my old e90 i thought it was a pita. Your fuel gauge is on “E” ? Or is that a JB4 boost gauge at zero psi?

Could you replace the battery yourself and then drive it to the mechanic to register it?

I always replace my batteries after 4 years in the fall. Had to do that “when it’s f**** zero” one too many times. Just decided it would be on my terms after pulling a battery by sled two miles so I could go to work. Great video!
