do you have a video on how to remove the tank ? I have the same bike. It
seems there are three screws for the tank. One big one on the right, and
two on the aux battery holder. But, I am hung up on removing the wire
connector. Here is a picture from my R1150 RTP. http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3745/11720949596_067440c52d_c.jpg
The simple battery replacement procedure: 1.Remove left side fairing
2.Remove air cleaner cover 3.Unbolt and remove air snorkel 4.Slide battery
out and disconnect terminals 5.Slide new battery in and re-connect
terminals 6.Turn ignition on and rotate throttle twice to full open. (This
is to reset Motronic 2.4 calibration.)

Other people only remove the left side cowling, which is what I do and
removing the right side is NOT required.
Thanks – saved me from a lot of grief and frustration.
Thanks airportpig. I followed your directions and it was a snap. Thanks for
the video!
