Is this real carbon fiber, or just plastic garbage that looks like carbon fiber? Where can I get prices for the parts in this video and the gearshift / console replacement.

If only they weren't 900 bucks arghh

Great video, it made it almost idiot proof. Here’s where I reveal I am the idiot. In the video, you didn’t want to pull on the blue clip to the iDrive. I however kept pulling at it, even using a tool to get more leverage. That’s when I snapped the plastic bracket, AND broke the clip. http://www.1977.net.au/CA6784CC-E0CE-4546-B820-7081CCEA2F6D.jpeg
Anyone doing this, follow the video’s advice and unscrew the iDrive rather than force the clip.
Overall, I’m not that enamoured with the “upgrade”. I had optioned the Fine Woodline trim on my Built-to-order. This suited the all black interior on my m240i better than the black dry carbon look. The Carbon look is a bit lost in all the black.
