Part: $75 at O’Reilly’s. Took me around 2 hours to get the door open,
installed and tested.

Awesome video.
I replaced my rear left window regulator on a 2007 328i just like in the
video and it was really easy after following these instructions. Thanks
very much for giving me the confidence to try this DIY.

For another video on the same topic (same car, right side rear window) with
different camera angles, see here: http://vimeo.com/13163932

Your comment was so retarded. How is it a piece of shit when it’s overall
more reliable than most trucks? We don’t all need to go around driving
trucks, and talking shit on the internet to feel like men. You must be
compensating for the lack of something.

Tiffany Rapagna says:

Forgot to add parts cost. So total repair cost, right = $350 & left = $210,
combined/two windows = $560. Anyone else want to share what they paid to
dealership, mechanic or at home diy? P.S. @orderthesun ~ why don’t you take
your nasty comments elsewhere? Bimmers & 4×4s both have their perks (I
personally am a Bimmer Girl 4 Life working hard to get that 750). I’m just
not sure why you’re even here…@orderanaoologyperhaps? ♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥

Pat Lubin says:

How did it work out? I ordered the part. Getting ready to try this. Your
sister didn’t break it. They just wear down over time. I think more-so in
warmer areas.

This BMW is a piece of shit!!! Get a real mans truck, 4×4 and grow some
balls little ditch pussy

orderthesun says:

Why in a parking garage. Is mommy and daddy gonna be upset your taking
apart the bmw

Brad Klodowski says:

I’m of the opinion that if you take the money the extended warranty would
have cost you, and set it aside instead of buying the warranty – by the
time the warranty would have expired you probably will have money left
over. That being said, it’s just my opinion and different people have
different results from extended warranties.

Great video! Very informative

Brad Klodowski says:

I go to college and don’t have anywhere else where I could work on it that
wasn’t in the rain. Piss off.

Tiffany Rapagna says:

I bought a new ’08 3-series in Feb ’08 and the back windows stopped
working, so thank you for posting this tutorial! The back right window
stopped working in Jun ’12 (4 yrs. 4 mos. old) and the back left window
stopped working in Jul ’13 (5 yrs. 5 mos. old). I hit 50K miles in Feb ’12
(4 yrs. old), so the factory warranty had expired before both occurrences.
I think extended warranties are bogus, so for back-right, I paid $200 for
mechanic to fix & back-left, I fixed myself for $60. Not bad!

Orlando Ramos says:

I follows the reset hold for 4 seconds still won’t back to normal closed.

Pat Lubin says:

Been at this for two nights. How do you separate the window from the green
clip?

David Kneiber says:

keep it up we need more diy videos… much more helpful than a picture
thread
