Hey, does this method work for a BMW E88 118i N43 engine?

My coolant is low. After topping it up, should I do this?

@chaino2618 says:

Did this for 12 minutes, engine is still wanting to overheat upon coolant replacement. e39

Exact same car I own. Right down to the color. My interior is gray though. Changing the coolant bottle as soon as I finish the A/C Compressor, power steering pump, and pulley. I was bleeding it with the car running. Thanks for the tip
