This transmission was not shifting into gear and had other intermittent issues. This is a ZF 6HP transmission out of a BMW 550i E60.

what car is that and are the solanoids same as those in the x6m e71
Hi guys, please can anyone help me out? i have bmw e61 530d 2006 with auto transmission while driving car gearbox shutters. There is no vibration, though, and when pressing a bit more gas, it's fine. i had my engine check light came on on the dash i dont know if its the tourqe converter when i had a bad converter on my e46 i could feel vibration while fring but in my e61 its smooth aslo chanes gears on time its just when going above 30 miles and up

Wait wait wait. The colors of the solenoids or whatever those were, totally different. I want a full write up of what they do and WHY THE COLORS WERE DIFFERENT. Asap… please. All I can think of is that scene in Casino where they get in the car and turn the key and it explodes. Common y’all, some of us have ocd that can’t handle this. Fix it RIGHT.
