The first coolant flush was overheating my car and i did the second time,
ran for good 6 hours straight and then CHECK ENGINE light came on. Next
day, it was overheating. No heat coming out this time and coolant leeking.
The more i pour the more it comes out. Only have like 3 inches from the
expansion tank that holds it. Can you please help? It leeks under the
radiator part section. Will check it again today to confirm it. Any
suggestions? Thanks!

I enjoy your videos. It is an entertaining way to learn. Just a note, I
believe you can buy the gasket for about 5 bucks. How is the gasket maker
holding up?

Bullshitkorner says:

you could buy the gasket however it was a aftermarket part and brand new
installed. changing the gasket may or may not work instead of taking the
risk i knew the RTV silicone would take care of the issue

Hah awesome video!! I have a coolant leak on mine but I can’t really tell
where it’s coming from, do u use a Stant pressure tester or something or
just get ur car hot n look under it??

I learned something and I laughed. Thank you

My 01 325i started to show the coolant light when I’m driving it down the
road and I found a leaking from the top side of the radiator where the
aluminum and plastic meets. So any suggestions on how to fix the problem?

e46330zhp says:

water and coolant both take the path of least resistance-governed by
gravity- ex tank-pressure leads to spay-hoses = drip- catasrophic loss of
coolant= overheat-

e46330zhp says:

thanks -ur a genius-.

Bullshitkorner says:

duck tape is not a fix, and it’s unlikely too much antifreeze would cause a
leak. you must have a blown hose or something somewhere you need to find
out where the leak is coming from first

Bullshitkorner says:

i know i like to keep it real, the armchair mechanics just get the good old
block hammer i have no time for them or people who can’t stand the language
hahahahahah

my lite says:

@ 6:10 “god damn germans can’t keep it simple” wahahaha.. just wait till
you go to removing the transmission.. mine (a 5sp manual) and it comes with
3 different sizes of torx.. love your E46 videos bud.. keep em coming!!

Bullshitkorner says:

i think if it gets to that point where i need to remove the transmission
i’ll just ghost ride it off a cliff while it’s on fire and video it.

It’s funny how you can tell something is Canadian just by listening to a
mechanic talk.

gvvvv2300 says:

where did you get those special fan removal tools? thanks

plplove says:

my friend nice video I need your help!! i put too much antifreeze in my car
and next thing you know it started leaking now everything i put in it leaks
out in less than a minute…what do i do????can i fix it? duck tape it?

Themaxor says:

You’re one of the few people I can listen to do a car repair. Honestly the
language helps….. a good fuck, or whinny ass bitch is nice now and
again….lmfao. Hope you keep it up, and there will always be haters… all
these armchair mechanics really piss me off since most will never actually
ever turn a wrench.

Kevin Ost says:

Thanks for taking the time to post this video. I have a 2003 530 I that is
leaking and now I know what to do so I can hopefully fix it myself. I also
enjoyed your presentation. You sort of remind me of one of my favorite
comedians, Al Franken. Keep up the good work !

I drove down to the beach yesterday and when I got home there was clear
smoke coming out from the hood. What could that be? I went to Valvoline and
they sent it was a coolant leak, but I’m not sure what caused it… What
can cause those leaks?

Bullshitkorner says:

at that point i would replace the radiator, it sounds like your core has
rotted and starting to leak. this is if it is confirmed that indeed the rad
is leaking

Bullshitkorner says:

having a pressure tester would be the idea way to troubleshoot a coolant
leak as you would be able to determine if the head gasket was blown. I was
able to see a coolant leak so i just crawled underneath and traced where it
was coming from and went from there

cheech91691 says:

i still cant fucken see it!

Bullshitkorner says:

my fan is belt driven, however i think if you have a manual trans you have
a electric fan. you may have power to the fan but it doesn’t run all the
time as it’s hooked up to a temp sensor that allows the fan to come on at a
certain set point otherwise your fan would run all the time and be over
cooling

Bullshitkorner says:

majority of coolant leaks are from a bad hose that sprung a leak

Bullshitkorner says:

i got it from my local automotive store for like 7 dollars

Bullshitkorner says:

thanks for watching, I have a whole bunch of other BMW repair videos and 5
more in the process of filming

MrWolfsbmw . says:

Great vids. I have 2000 323i which just overheated. My expansion tank blew
as I was driving. Thought I was getting shot at. Towed it home, changed the
expansion tank, and noticed my rad fan wasn’t working. Checked and there is
power to the fan. So I got a guy looking at the fan. What else should I
look for to find the culprit?

Bullshitkorner says:

thanks and good luck with your troubleshooting let me know how it turns out
