The E46 looks much more robust than the E36 IMHO. I would put in the Signature Motoring performance intake kit for only around $150 and gain up to 13HP on the stock output for the 330i and a bit less for the 325 and 328. I highly recommend this item, see my youtube channel for the action video on it.

Just did mine tonight. The passenger side bushing bracket bolts were a major PITA (a flex head ratcheting wrench made it manageable). Can’t believe they stuck the heat shield in there. Other than that it went together pretty easy. Thanks for making the videos, they helped tremendously.
i hope the project works out good for you, bolting the rear bushing back in place and getting everything together can be frustrating but it does come together
Thanks! I ended up going to the dealer and measuring them. They were 60mm.
i don’t have the bushings anymore i tossed them but my jig is bored out to 62mm
Thanks for the video. I am planning the FCAB replacement next weekend and your video will allow me to plan it better. Could you please tell me what the OD of the bushing is? I plan on making a tool similar to yours and that OD would help.
