DIY BMW E46 Harman Kardon front door speaker repair – Blown Speaker Repair

We are gonna fix a blown speaker. Well, two blown speakers actually! I bought a 2002 BMW 330i with the fancy 12 speaker Harman Kardon system and it sounded like garbage. There were certainly blown speakers. What to do? Pop off the panel and see what’s going wrong! We do a e46 front door panel removal, speaker inspection, and foam surround repair in this video. The middle speakers for this model are not available for replacement in the stock mounts, so we will have to repair them. It’s a whole lot cheaper as well! In the end, they sound like they should!

You will need a door panel / trim removal tool, a t20 torx driver, and a Phillips and Flathead screwdriver for the inspection.

In my case, the middle front door speaker surround was rotten and had to be replaced on both sides. I was able to order a new foam surround repair kit for them.
