Neat work Alcides. My 2002 BMW 530 with less than 45K miles started showing
the Service Engine Soon and code P0639: camshaft position sensor seemed to
be the cause. After intake and exhaust position sensors were changed,
problem persisted and dealer said was the VANOS. Rebuild VANOS put in place
and codes B P0014 and B P0015 are now the problem. They mean camshaft is
advanced and retarded at the same time!!! Did you use a Camshaft Locking
Tool when replaced your VANOS? I’ve read it is not needed when changing a
Double VANOS.
A German car leaking oil? That’s rare.
Alcides thanks, very good video. I just start to have the same issue. Two
questions : you change only the O-rings ?, where did you bought the parts ?
Thanks for watching the video. Yes, the rings fix the rattle noise.
Did those rings fix the noise?
