4-5 hours at least as I recall, I don’t rush anything. If you change
(spring) height, I would check the alignment. If you stay stock parts (or
stock equivalent) the only setting is toe. To change camber/caster you need
special “plates” on the upper attachment. 🙂

I will trust you are correct on the calipers. I removed them because it’s a
simple task & makes the whole strut lighter to handle. Thanks for the post.

I had my 95 325i at a shop and found out the struts were shot. 600 is too
steep for me. So, either I do it or it is isnt going to happen.

Excellent suggestion! Thanks for the comment. 🙂

Thanks for doing the video. Can you say how long the entire job took you? I
will need to buy the coil springs compressor but I have everything else. Do
yoo need to get the car realigned after replacing the struts? Thanks!

Did this job this past weekend on my ’99 e36 M3. Calipers do NOT need to be
removed. It took exactly 1.5 hrs to do both sides without rushing. Helps to
have all the right tools on hand.

Otto from bav auto used a spark plug socket to get the nut out the shock he
used an Allen key through the spark plug socket and then a wrench to turn
the spark plug socket. Good idea for people with out air tools
