Hi Chris,
could You upload a video with procedure for adjusting a clutch free play. I
recently bought an R1100GS previus owner replaced clutch but the liver is
not adjusted properly,it has just 1,5 mm of free play.
Thanks,
Andrija
Hi Chris thanks a lot, your vids are so helpfull, Happy New Year :-)
Hi
Nice work , like your vids.
I have a question , when im warming up my r1150 r (2002, 30 000 km)on
central stand the rear wheel are rotate slowly, when ill pull the clutch it
stop rotating . It is a problem ? Thx. Greetings from Slovakia.
For hydraulic clutches I am not finding any adjustment information in
manual… Is there an adjustment for hydraulic models? 2004 R1150RT
Approximately 3 hours to tear down an R1150R.
That’s exactly what my clutch pack looked like after removal after 16k
miles. Will soon remove carbon canister as suggested in your other vid.
Thanks for the info on the proper use of a dry clutch plate. Trying not to
feed the hungry BMW pig.
There is no adjustment available for the hydraulic clutch. When the clutch
starts grabbing right off the grip you can be assured that the friction
material is worn out and you need a new clutch disc.
I agree. That is probably why the new Aqua-Pig GS has a wet clutch and it
is mounted to the front of the engine!
Hi Chris! Thank you for your works! Just a little questions….How many
time do you spent to dissassemble the entire bike??? My clutch started to
slip when the engine runs over 5.000 rpm… My 2003 R1150R got only 8.000
miles!!! Greetings from Italy! 😀
The GS models should have stronger clutches and clutch parts! Think of the
abuse they go through. Ditto that for RTP and other police / service
models.
dont’ have to adjust ones with the hydraulic clutch, they self adjust
You’re welcome.
The tips you give in your vids are very useful and interesting. Thank you.
