I felt it was weird when I cable tied my R&G rad guard on my beemer too but
2 years later she’s holding up nicely
This is the same as putting a case on your brand new phone, I rather take a
risk of it falling than riding around with those ugly covers on.

the contact points are protected

Kinda looks ugly, tacky especially with R&G’s need to flaunt their brand
everywhere. Geesh, no fence to the fans but did the guy who made these take
a design class? That’s like the biggest no no.
I also believe that the engine covers should of had at the very least kept
the original shapes. This way they look like someone shoved putty over them
and hide the really nice lines of the bike.
I’m discussing looks not functionality.
Lots of protection there to save cash if it’s dropped but I’d hate their
logo everywhere.

though, and the R&G crash guard for the Akrapovic exhaust! ;)
