David says:

I followed this guide and it worked out well. The only thing I did differently was once I had one grille off using the pick, I went through the hole the removed grille left and with a long flathead screwdriver easily pressed the clips for the second grille.

s2dsayer says:

Just changed mine this evening… only took about 15 minutes thanks to this great video. I can't imagine trying this without the pick tool!

RedFive says:

This guy makes it look super easier than what it is. Really fiddly job but following his instructions I had it done in under an hour. Thanks for the vid! The pick was a life saver.

DueVolvi says:

Please do this on the latest models…..!

Elaine Bennett says:

Really don't like the black grill…it cheapens the look. Chrome looks premium and great contrast. Personal taste I guess.

Anthony DC says:

Much better !!!

Buff Superbike says:

Can we also get the trim just inboard of the fog lamps in black as well?

Sebastien LICHT says:

gloss or matte ? my F25 need black ones ( Msport all white and black piano even roof rails )
and the only "chrome" is the grill …. thinking .

Ghost F30 says:

Hey bro can you make a video how to update LED light in the f30

nycshelbygt500 says:

Cinematography from inside the bumper was genius. A few tips…
– Wear a long sleeve shirt, since you have to reach in behind the bumper with your arms. The bumper plastic at the top is super thin and flexible.
– The T30 and T25 screw washers should be marked with a silver or white marker around the perimeter This allows you to screw
them back into the same exact locations. This preserves the gap between the hood and the bumper edges. A proper gap isn't automatic.
– Start with the bottom kidney grille clips and pull up with your fingers, while pulling the kidney grill out. The clips tend to pop back in.
– The pick tool is a slick idea. You might be able to avoid unscrewing the top of the bumper and just use your fingers or the pick tool
starting with the bottom clips. Some folks use a coat hanger (the hook end) in place of the pick tool.
– Fatal flaw is to NOT install the new 1st kidney, until the 2nd grille is removed. After the 1st kidney grille it out, you can reach the 2nd kidney grill thru that opening and don't need to come in from behind from the top. Capt. Obvious.
– Patience Grasshopper.

Challenge: BMW E9X headlight module replacement and even resealing the plastic lens. Or full replacement using BMW OEM vs OE parts.
