A very helpful video was having a hard time figuring that out :)

konnexion57 says:

Great tutorial! I recently replaced my headlights with halo projector angel
eyes head lights. The connectors for the angel eyes were cut off and I was
wondering if the ccfl wiring you used for the E46 will work for the E36?

BavarianAuto says:

On many models, we can connect the “turn-on” wires to the parking light
wires. However, the E46 models have a constantly modulated signal to the
parking lights, which makes the relay buzz or the lights to actually
flicker. Therefore we recommend accessing a turn-on at the fuse panel. This
car used the radio power fuse that is energized when the ignition is on (AE
lights turn on whenever the ignition is on). You can purchase jumper clips
for the spade fuses at a local auto parts store.

BavarianAuto says:

I’m not sure just what you are asking, but if you need installation
assistance, please call us at 800-535-2002.

Diego Alonso Balbuena says:

Great video. Very helpful. Thanks a bunch! Quick question. Do I have to
unplug my negative cable from the battery if I’m using T-Taps to tap into
the parking light wire for the angel eyes?

Sim0320 says:

Very good perfect video thank you

Paris Bogle says:

I just installed my new angel eyes to my 325i, there are a red and black
wire that is connected to each head light which is for my rings. can I use
this harness?

SamiusMaximus says:

Big help.. Thanks!!

BavarianAuto says:

No, no need to disconnect the battery.

iforc3 says:

You said that at one point the battery should be disconnected, but how
would we about doing that?

Diego Alonso Balbuena says:

Great. Thanks for the tip 🙂

BavarianAuto says:

Assuming that your 99 E46 is either a 323i or 328i, the number is 13 71 7
502 842 and if you enter this in the search box on our web site
(bavauto.com), it will come up as a special order part that we will order
for you. You can also call our advisors at 800-535-2002.

BavarianAuto says:

Please give our advisors a call at 800-535-2002. We can pull a set from
inventory to measure for you.

Marko Vuckovic says:

14:50 Does the angel eyes turn on when you unlock the car,or someone in the
car turn the ignition on(first/second switch)?

Bob jackson says:

can you look at my clip and you will help me, Please BMW E46 xenon HID kit

fearlessreview says:

Do you sell the “Intake Shroud” mentioned at time 1:00, I could not find it
on your website for 1999 e46?

Steven Webster says:

Hi Otto, I plan on installing Angel Eye with Xeon next week. I was
wondering what fuse you ended up using and/or would tapping the ignition
wire work better? I have a facelift E46 2003 330i Sedan and I was wondering
if you could point me to the right wire for the ignition in the ECU. Thanks
so Much Otto, Steve

Ryan McFarland says:

I don’t get how to wire it at all.. Both of my new headlights have big
chrome boxes what are they for?

BavarianAuto says:

@iforc3 – Most BMW models (and all E46 3-series models, like this one) have
the battery mounted in the trunk. Simply remove the battery housing cover,
in the passenger side rearward corner of the trunk, and use a 13mm, 10mm or
8mm wrench or socket to loosen the cable clamp on the negative (marked with
“-“) battery terminal. You can then pull the cable clamp off. Once the
cable clamp is removed, set it aside, assure that it is away from the
positive cable clamp and battery terminal.

dendeeze dendiene says:

what about the E46 coupé’s with LED back lights? Those headlights are
different than the early models because the corner lens and the headlight
are now from one piece. I saw screw in the transparent cover of the
headlight, so that’s completely different than these video if i want to
instal angel lights. Can you help me and other owners of that E46 model, thx

BavarianAuto says:

dendeeze – E46 models did not come with stock angel eyes. If you have a car
with angel eyes, they were added at some point. Since there are various
different kits, we can’t really offer specific assistance on accessing the
bulbs. You should remove the headlights and see what you have in accessing
the angel eyes.

BavarianAuto says:

Please call our Customer Service advisers for assistance in this, so we do
not go back and forth trying to get details in helping you out. 800-535-2002

john NG says:

where does the turn-on wires connected to??????????radio…glove box???

BavarianAuto says:

The harness and relay assembly is basically universal and can be used for
just about any application to power an auxiliary lighting accessory from a
chosen “turn-on” source. The part number is BMW-AE-REMOTE we have them at
our online store – bavauto.com

BUZDRIFT says:

Un clean install, mess as.

BavarianAuto says:

@Sim0320 – Thanks for the kind words!
