Hi, just bought the new replacements. Thanks for posting this. I’m going to
do it myself and save $56. Any tips about the catalytic converter? My E90’s
is very noisy and the dealership want $1,400 just for the parts. Can it be
cancelled altogether and replaced with an extension of the main exhaust
pipe?

AskTheCarExperts says:

@TheHuss1970 Hello, I hope this video helps. 🙂 With the LCI (newer body
styel E90) the bulb is actually in a different spot but if your vehicle is
pre facelift then this will be the same. If you remove the CAT you will
have emission problems and oxygen sensor problems. CATS are expensive due
to the material but I have seen many failures on aftermarket CATS. I would
actually recommend the BMW ones due to quality. If you have a 335 the
failure may be due to injectors leaking.

Where can I buy the bulbs for the halo rings? I have BMW e90 with HID
headlamps -my driver side rings went out, and the dealer wants $150 to
install :/

hi again sorry if i am bothering you (not my intention) but have you been
able to figure where my headlight pump is located.. Let me know if you need
any other information on my end. Thanks again..

Hello Miguel, Do you have xenon lights or non xenon? Can you send me the
last seven of the VIN number?

AskTheCarExperts says:

I will try to look this up for the bulb. I do not think it is the same
fluid. Many BMW’s take a yellowish fluid with a specific part number. Check
your transmission pan for the part number for the fluid for your BMW.

AskTheCarExperts says:

@TheHuss1970 You are welcome 🙂 Thanks for the comment and I hope the
install goes well!

Thanks for your reply. Good to have expert opinion on these things.

Hello Caleb, I recently replaced these bulbs with stock bulbs on a friends
car. I had tried to find them at the part stores near me but they do not
carry the bulb. The only places you can purchase these bulbs would be from
an online vendor or the dealer. I did not realize how difficult it is to
find these bulbs either 🙂 until I tried to find them on the weekend. Had
to wait to Monday and buy them from the dealer for me.

message 2 of 2 Instead of replacing the whole headlight washer mech. I just
wanted to unplug the power source to the pump. Will this cause and other
promplems on the on board cpu?? Thanks again for taking time to help.

Hello guys, I have a 2006 325xi and I need to disconnect ny headlight
washer pump that you showed in the video briefly.. I cannot, however figure
which side it is located on ( drivers of passenger) could you please help
me out with this as it is very obvious you know what you are talking
about.. It would be greatly appreciated.. CHRIS

AskTheCarExperts says:

Hello Chris, Can you post the last seven of the VIN for me? Do you need to
replace the pump? What type of failure are you having?

Chamsoulja says:

quick question. I heard that some halo lights will actually melt your
projectors. i have a 2006 330i . where can i get angel eyes that guarantee
wont burn my projectors

Chriss Stoeckle says:

Message 1 of 2 The last 7 digits of the vin are: KV12879 Its kind of a long
story but I just recently purchased the car a few weeks ago from a neighbor
and it had about a softball size dent in the driver side front bumber just
under the headlight washer.. I took it to a local body shop to repair the
body damage, after returning it to home and keeping it in the garage i
noticed a small leak from the same area which seems to be wishield washer
fluid..

AskTheCarExperts says:

Hello Chris, You are definately not bothering me my friend 🙂 I did look
this up but have not had the time to post yet. The pumps are located a
difficult spot. They are behind the passenger side wheel well back toward
the rocker panel. You will need to remove the wheel and the wheel well arch
trim to access the pump. If you can send me an E-mail I might be able to
send you some instructions if you need them. 🙂

AskTheCarExperts says:

That is a good question. I have not heard of this happening. Xenon lights
often leave a ring on the lens so this may be what people notice and this
would not be from the angel eyes and is common on all BMW’s with Xenon
lights. Unfortunately for a brand name to use I am not sure what is best
but keep in mind you get what you pay for. The more expensive light or a
brand name bulb would be best. I hope this helps 🙂
