2. Part Search: Navigating realoem.com to find the sensor’s part number (SN), then hunting down a budget-friendly replacement online.

4. Verification: Post-replacement, I check the car’s iDrive system to confirm that the issue is resolved and use Bimmerlink again to verify that the error is cleared.
As a bonus, I also teardown the old sensor to see what went wrong!

Hi, thank you for a good tutorial video. I beleave you must do a combination of running a check on how much soot and run a DPF test to verify how glogged your DPF is first. If the DPF is glogged you must do a DPF cleaning and then replace the exhaus pressure sensor. To test if you DPF is glogged you can use a Mityvac vacuum/pressure pump connected to the hose from exhause pressure sensor hose and pump. If the DPF is glogged the mityvac pump shows will move. Or you can use your scanner and run a live data test on your DPF. Check for DPF soot level and level of the exhause pressure sensor. If the soot level is high and the exhaust pressure is over 300hbar, then you must do a DPF cleaning. Disconnect the hose from the exhaust pressure sensor and spray 500ml of Wurth DPF cleaning fluid into the DPF. Waite for 20 minutes. Connect the hose back. Start engine and take a long ride on the highway for at last 30 minutes at constant speed of 100km and 3000 RPM. I have done this on my BMW 525D Xdrive successfully.
