Thanx man!

Jake McDermott says:

Thanks tons, this was way easier than I thought it might be. I thought the
keys were rechargeable, too…something in the manual saying to plug it in
for a 90min drive now and again…guess not!

Broge Kilrain says:

You can buy the batteries on Ebay or Amazon for $8 for 10 pc lot. Same
battery as Nissan uses too.

JonRakos says:

thanks for posting, others said this could have been a 20 second video, but
slow and steady helps us slow folks!

Mrs. Ramos says:

Thanks for the video! Just in time as my key is going dead!

ohxietviet says:

Why is the battery in mine a rechargeable lithium ion then?

outlawstar98 says:

PS, you can use the tip of the key to pop the cover off ;)

Whatnot says:

Thanks very much for posting this. It saved me a trip to the dealership.

imensul says:

thanks for info !

techbrute says:

This could have been a 20 second video. Clif’s Notes: 1) The battery,
despite popular misconception, is not rechargable. 2) Pull the emergency
key out and pry up the little panel with a small screwdriver or other thin,
blunt tool.

Otherwise, thanks for the info!

Chase Jackson says:

Thank you for this video. I literally just went to Walgreens and bought one
for my BMW. The dealership didn’t rape my pockets today!

FattyXXXXL says:

oh wow thanks a lot!! Didn’t know it was this easy to replace the battery!

Wendy S says:

Thank you! Because of your frustration with a dead battery in a car key,
you chose to make this helpful video. I in turn was able to help my
husband, 3000 miles away. He took the battery from the garage door opener
and replaced the dead one in key and VOILA!!! Car started!!

Robert Nugent says:

Thanks for your reply. I was surprised to learn that they make rechargeable
CR2032s, though.

pjr710 says:

Hey Rob, i think your talking about the battery. The batter may be
recharchable, but the key fob isn’t that’s the difference. With comfort
access you have to replace the battery no matter what because the vehicle
won’t charge it.

Robert Nugent says:

Pjr710, yes after taking a closer look I realized that it’s really a very
simple battery connection without a means to recharge it built in. And
considering that my car is still under warranty, I let the dealer handle it.

BOKANG SHAO says:

Thx very helpful

miks510 says:

Thanks Holmes!

Clara Roberts says:

Thank you!

AndyVids2011 says:

Yeah..it needed reprograming. Luckily it was still under warranty so it was
no charge.

Maddux Saini says:

Thanks Man! Gotta replace mine today.

dohoh87 says:

Tgank u for sharing your knowledge!!

AndyVids2011 says:

Mine still doesn’t work after changing batteries. would you know why?

Oscar Seminario says:

Thanks. It is as easy as you demonstrate.

pjr710 says:

Hey Andy, I’m really not sure, but my first thought is it could need
re-programming

Robert Nugent says:

Thanks. But now I’m confused. I got the low battery warning in my E92 with
comfort access so I took a trip with the key fob in the slot and the
warning hasn’t come up since. OTOH, I done believe the CR2032 is
rechargeable. Hmmm.

leumas nehol says:

wrap it up dude… seriously… 20sec video is 4mins!… jeeeez are you
sleeping or what? thanks though!

Robert Nugent says:

Should’ve googled it first, seems that they’re are rechargeable CR2032
batteries. Perhaps your’s didn’t come with one?
