I’ve replaced everything on the front suspension and I was still getting a clunk noise while going over speed bumps. Changed my struts and strut mounts and it’s gone.

How far do you hit the strut back in. Is there a positive stop?

@A_S377 says:

It's best to leave the upper 3 nuts on the strut and loosen just the pinch bolt. Smack the knuckle, be careful not to damage it as it is made out of aluminum. It will drop and then you can undo the upper nuts to remove the complete strut assembly.

You’re awesome

@THEJUAN2023 says:

I had to take out the tie rods the new struts wouldn't clear without taking out the tie rods

@rjpinder says:

I wish I would’ve never watched autozones video. I fooled with the tie rod now I’m in a mess.

Very helpfull thanks

@HolyShitAccess says:

Before tightening the control arms you needed to jack the neck to compress it. Now your going to wear out the rubbers more faster on the arms.

Thanks! I saved 500euros

@ALKOHOLIC45 says:

Thank you so much for this video. Saved me some time as others have mentioned. Did my front struts in my brother's driveway in about 2 hours.

@lr7633 says:

I got stuck trying to push the strut assembly back under the fender:( I tried and tried but can't seem to push it down and under. help please

@rensbohan3295 says:

Hey man, I'm about to change my front struts. But my top nut is supposed to be removed with an 21mm and a 6mm Allen key at the same time. Now I see you are just using a impact gun to remove the top nut. Didn't you have any problems with not holding the Allen key? Thanks!

@MrMpow3r says:

Good video. I love how you still keep the strut at arms length, even with springs clamps on.

I've had a bad experience when using crappy clamps

@HarvardBob says:

Nice job. You convinced me that I can do it myself but that I probably don't want to. Thanks

@matthewrieck9994 says:

You’ve helped me out for today mate but don’t forget safety. Should never use a rattle gun on spring compressors

@M-Powerdreamsgarage says:

I hope you had an alignment done after loosening the control arms. Never loosen control arms unless you have equipment to preform a proper alignment afterwards. It’s just asking for trouble
