BMW E84 X1 Front Brake Rotor & Pad Replacement DIY (2013-2015 BMW X1 xDrive35i, sDrive28i)

►Replacing the front brake pads and rotors on your BMW X1 is essential to ownership. They provide most of the vehicle’s stopping power, and braking is significantly reduced when they’re worn. You’ll be able to feel and hear when they’re worn, although your car will tell you before then. There’s an electronic sensor that gets tripped once the pads wear to a certain level, and it’ll trip a warning message on your instrument cluster. Failing to change them will result in metal-on-metal contact and steel shavings being thrown into your wheels and suspension.

In this video, Mike Hidalgo, FCP Euro’s Professional DIY’er, tackles a front brake pad and rotor replacement on an E84 BMW X1.

Thanks for these vids. I’ve been working on my C300 thanks to the parts u guys sell and with the help of the tutorials. I’m pretty good with my hands but having the vid to show me exactly where to go and what to take off to complete a job is very helpful. I’ve saved over 5,000 bucks doing the work myself for some regular maintenance that Mercedes requires on their cars. I’ve been meaning to express my gratitude for helping the regular joes like myself that don’t have tons of money to waste in the Benz dealership for something that can be done at home. Again, thanks guys!!!! Also the price for the parts is amazing too!
