I was at BMW this week for my 2004 530I and they had the Aux and the end
for the radio was a plug,(kit # 82 11 0 149 390) not the 3 wires like your
video shows. Do you know if this will work? What programming will I need?

I got my auxiliary input to work following this video. I ended up making my
own cable, and after getting the idrive programmed with aux input
everything works great! EUTech in Sacramento gave me the best price $120.00
for 1hr of labor to program
As far as programming it, yes we do. For the Aux cable, this can be picked
up at your local BMW dealer for $30 – $45. Just get the one for the E85 Z4
or an E46 3 series, it’s cheaper.
Would really want to purchase the AUX input cables and information on how
to reprogram to have AUX appear on idrive. Please respond to my email
