This is not so simple if you have a “x” (AWD). When you jack up the
engine, the front axle shaft hits the steering shaft. I had to loosen the
rear stucture/member that hold the lower control arm and pry like crazy to
barely make enough clearnece. Glad I did. It solved the vibration at
driving speed (just like unbalanced tire).

me more confident replacing all the mounts.

Great video. Is this the same procedure for my bmw x3 2006? I have a bad
passenger engine mount (right). do I need to replace the driver side (left)
as well? If I don’t have to replace the driver side mount, do I have to
unbolt the driver side mount before raising the engine? I hope I can get
away from unbolting on the driver side mount just to save time. But I also
don’t want to break anything.
