Nice tutorial thanks for upload! I have one question maybe someone you guys
know it.
I have e39 1998 523i. It has 6 disk changer and when i drive on bad road
the sound starts to jam like on none antishock cd player. Is it normal? or
it has some problem? If its normal, are there any cd changer that have
antishock ?

Can u please upload a video that will help to instal DVD monitors,u know
the monitors that are placed behind the headrest of the front seats..and is
it possible for the monitor to work with the original radio of the m5 or I
have to upgrade my radio?

E39Source says:

A long- but very complete- video detailing the process to install auxiliary
input, MP3 ID3 tags, and SIRIUS XM radio in a BMW E39.

Rasul Avtorhanov says:

As always amazing videos man!

Speedy says:

great video. still a Note. German car manufactures use for production of
cable harnesses Fleece-Tape. The best to wrap cable or plug. No more
rattling, no noise. My favorite is “TESA 51608”. Ideal for laying new
cables. For example new taillights or speaker cable.

william wolfe says:

It’ll be really fascinating to see 14 years from now someone with a F10 M5
doing these little DIY videos and comparing the engineering difference
between this car and that one. I’m sure no one is near replacing radio
units or steering wheels on the new m5’s haha it’ll def be more of a pain
In the arse. Now get on a damn track !

Gavin Sloma says:

The steering wheel you have is the best on a m5 i have seen why do most
come with the ugly and fat 3 spoke one?

Smenny says:

Would be sooo much easier to just change to an after market headunit.
Thumbs up for doing it the original way! Looks way better

Robert Armstrong says:

So now if I just wanted the aux input, in theory I just need to change out
the actual radio unit and hook the right cables up and run it up to the
cabin?

Gen. Rommel says:

how much did this job cost you?

M power says:

my m5 is april ’02 euro spec what do you think i need ? i tried along time
ago but no one understand how to do it until i see your video which was
pretty good and perfect work

Scuderi says:

The CD changer is in the trunk?? I’m so confused

globe999 says:

You made a couple mentions of Bluetooth functionality, will you be going
over that in a future video?

Kader You says:

so you can change the songs from the steering wheel ? just like a CD ?

icefreeze117 says:

How do you guys feel about aftermarket head units? I am looking to buy a
touch screen one for around 500 and it comes with an aux port in the front
and bluetooth and everything. It would be easier to do to set up aux.

300 Crank says:

Ryan love the steering wheel!

crisnla1 says:

Why do u keep mentioning Bluetooth? Is that an alternative to using the AUX
or is it just to make phone calls through the car stereo ?

Noel Opare says:

Best YouTube channel for information about e39’s. Would be nice for someone
to have a 98 528i!
